I bought this to replace a plastic flag holder that snapped in high wind. I like the fact that the holder that mounts to the house is made of cast aluminum (??) rather than plastic. The rod that holds the flag is adjustable to accommodate both 3x5 and 4x6 flags easily. The sections screw together securely and I like the fact that the rings that hold the carabiner clips rotate freely to avoid the flag wrapping around itself. The carabiner clips themselves are a generous size so that clipping on a flag is a snap. There are three thumb screws to hold the pole in place securely. Over the past few weeks we have had high winds and the pole has held up well.

We finally replaced our old flag pole with this Yeesun flag pole with the clips that prevent tangling. It is sturdy, well-made and was easy to assemble and mount. It works very well at preventing or at least lessening the chances of the flag from becoming tangled. On windy days, if the wind gusts just right, the end of the flag will flip up over the pole but it just takes one small tug to release it. Compared to our old flag pole where our flag constantly wrapped tightly around the pole and was nearly impossible to untangle, the new one works great. I just wish we had replaced our old flag pole sooner!

So far I am pleased with the value-for-money of this pole and mounting bracket. The pole assembled easily, the flag mounts seem to keep wind from tangling the flag (so far, we have not had a real windy day yet). I downgraded to four stars due to the screws included with the mounting bracket. The good was that they included extras in the package, the bad was that the screws were made of the cheapest pot-metal they could buy, and stripped very easily when installing. I think the $0.01 cents max they save using cheap screws is a mistake.

The media could not be loaded. Update: Spoke too soon. With lightweight flags these may still wrap the pole unless you add weights to the bottom corners. I put 2 x 10gm lead weights on the corners of the TX flag and that seemed to fix the problem. I will probably adjust the position of the weights to prevent drooping of the one corner - then sew them in place. Probably not the flagpoles fault - just situation dynamics. Strange but at the time of purchase the flagpole with flag was less expensive by $1.10 than the pole Without the flag. No problem there as I needed the flag. This is a great product - 4 screw-together pole sections plus the masthead making a 6-foot pole - perfect for the 5 foot flag. The flag holders swivel 360 degrees around the pole preventing the flag from getting wrapped up around the pole when windy conditions exist (see video). The kit includes 3 snap-link carabiners (1 spare) to attach the flag, screws and wall anchors, and an Allen wrench for the swivel mounts. My only peeve - the mounting hardware is METRIC - slightly larger than a size 10 screw, and the wall anchors would NOT fit into a hole drilled with a standard 1/4" masonry bit. So I used my own 1/4" lead masonry anchors and #10 screws to attach the brackets to my house. Everything else worked perfectly - so well in fact that I bought a second set for my State flag. Well constructed kit - Highly Recommended.
