I own about 15 mice. I knew going in that this would be a modest upgrade over the V3, but I'm liking it quite a bit more than expected. The 5g weight reduction is immediately noticeable. The clicks feel better too. Lighter, more spammable, with a satisfying tactile ping that has an almost metallic quality to it. The rest of the changes are less exciting. The scroll wheel is supposedly different, but I honestly can't tell. The improved sensor is a nice touch. The battery life upgrade is welcome, though personally I would've traded it for a few more grams shaved off the weight. This is a huge upgrade for me! I’m going from a razer viper v2 wired from 2019 to this. This is my first wireless gaming mouse and all I can say is I’m never going back. The upgrades on this mouse from the v2 are that it’s far lighter, the buttons are more responsive, and I don’t accidentally miss click the side buttons nearly as often as I did on the v2. Viper V4 Pro Wireless Esports Gaming Mouse: 49g Ultra Lightweight, Fast & Precise, 50K DPI Optical Sensor, 8K Polling, Gen-4 Optical Switches, Scroll Wheel, USB-C Charging, for all computers - Black This listing is for a Viper v4 Pro wireless mouse with a lightweight build and improved 50k DPI optical sensor with 8K polling and the newer generation switches, infinite scroll wheel, USB-C charging and a transmission puck. The entire device including the puck barely weighs 100g and the mouse by itself is 47g. The mouse is designed specifically for right handed mouse users with two additional buttons at the location of the right thumb. I have been using this heavily since I received it and I knew I had to do a review on this item immediately. I've used all three previous versions of this wireless mouse which gives me a good comparison and it is not often I can say that things have dramatically changed generation to generation but this mouse has been radically overhauled. The mouse barely feels like you are holding anything at all when you are gripping it and the super fast slides on the bottom of the mouse make it feel like the mouse is floating over whatever surface you use as a mousepad. I found it was best used on a very solid hard mousepad but that is my preference. I tested this with an AIM testing game and what I found was not only did my aim improve 27% with this mouse, my reaction time improved by about 20% as well. I found that amazing and I cannot just chalk that up to me having a better day. Since putting this mouse on my gaming computer, I feel like I have improved dramatically in just about every game I'm playing - and this is not just hyperbole. The only negative I can give it is that because this mouse is so very light, it is easy to bump it and send it flying across your desk or onto the floor because basically you are pushing just a few pieces of paper. Charging took about 2 hours from dead to full and so far I have been using it for about 27 hours and the charger has barely registered any use. The power is phenomenal and I cannot understand how they packed such a punch in such a lightweight package. Now as far as value for the money, I have to say it is not a great value for the money. This mouse is expensive I cannot deny that. But this would be a purchase you would only have to make now and probably not have to replace it for several years. Most people are unlike me and have like 15 different mice to swap between. This mouse would be ideal for someone who wants the pinnacle of mouse perfection and lightweight and can afford equally the price that such a premium brings.
