I've owned various Razer peripherals over the last decade and a half, and admittedly I've been disappointed by most of them. Razer has been, frankly, terrible at making controllers and I've got PTSD over my Razer ONZA experience roughly 13 years or so ago. What an awful experience that was. However, 13 years later and Razer maybe has struck gold. Initial impressions show they've finally made a controller worthy of the price tag, though I do want to point out I got lucky with the timing and was able to get this controller bundled with a Razer headset. The controller ended up being $120 and the headset $21. The beauty of the bundle is I could return the headset and keep the controller, but at $21 the Blackshark headset is worth it to keep as a backup headset for whatever (hey, the mic is really good!). Anyway, I digress - this is about the Raiju. Is it worth $200? I don't know... probably? A DS Edge is $200 and I've put my Edge in the desk drawer since breaking out the Raiju about three weeks ago. I've played ARC Raiders, Marathon, and Destiny (all PVP) with this controller and I've been very satisfied. I did get some XBox Kontrol Freeks for it, as I can't play without them, and the thumbsticks did take some time getting used to. I don't understand how the thumbstick tech works, stick drift should not be possible according to what I've read. They do feel good. I play wired only, but there is a dongle for wireless for those who are into that. Comes with a handy carrying case and some thumbstick covers, as well as a small screw driver to remove the custom rear buttons. I bought this for the extra six buttons and I have them all mapped so I never have to take my thumbs off the sticks. If you play any PVP games you already know how valuable this is. You do need to get used to the button location, as they are very sensitive mouse click buttons and you should take care not to press them by accident. It took me about four hours to really get dialed in. Size --> you need bigger hands for this. I've got larger than average hands (ex- I wear a L golf glove, for what it's worth) and this controller is about just big enough to wear it's not uncomfortable for me. Any bigger and we'd be in the original XBox controller territory. The DS Edge is probably more comfortable to hold in hand, but I'll take the tradeoff for functionality. I don't have a PC so I don't use Razer software... however I was able to connect the controller to my iPhone using the Razer app and make changes/modifications which was easy enough. Final words: I'm concerned about durability as I am with not just all Razer products, but most third party peripherals. Razer has let me down too many times in the past regarding durability issues where we are in a "Fool me _______, shame on me" scenario. It'll be my own fault for purchasing this is if it suddenly starts having issues after the return policy or warranty period is up. I guess we'll find out. For now, it's performing well and I'm enjoying it's functionality. Let's hope it lasts.

I bought the Panda Black & White Raiju yesterday, and I’ll be honest: I was excited enough that I stayed home from work just to try it out. I’ve always loved Panda colorways — whether it’s watches, audio gear, or accessories — and this one immediately reminded me of the same timeless look you see on high-end Panda designs from brands like Rolex. Clean, bold, and premium without trying too hard. Build & Feel Right out of the box, the Raiju feels like a serious upgrade. The weight is balanced, the materials feel durable, and the Panda contrast gives it that elevated, collectible vibe. This doesn’t feel like one of the “also-ran” third-party controllers cluttering the market — it feels like something built by two brands (Razer and Sony) that actually know what premium means. Buttons & Gameplay Feel The buttons are very different from a standard PlayStation controller. Sony’s buttons have a softer, rounder feel. The Raiju buttons are faster, crisper, and almost mechanical in their response. Some people will prefer one over the other, but if you play shooters, the shorter actuation on the Raiju is a noticeable advantage. I started landing shots more consistently after just a couple of matches. Rumble & Licensing Reality There’s no rumble. At first this surprised me, but once I learned the reason, it made sense: No licensed third-party controller for PlayStation includes rumble. It’s not a Razer decision — it’s simply a limitation for anyone making officially licensed PlayStation gear. I’d rather have a licensed, stable controller from legitimate brands than gamble on rumble from an unlicensed off-brand that may or may not even work properly with future PlayStation updates. Connectivity & The PS Button The Raiju uses a USB receiver for 2.4GHz — and honestly, it’s the right call. The connection is instant, stable, and lag-free. My initial hesitation about using a dongle disappeared the moment I started playing. The only thing I had to adjust my expectations on: The PS button doesn’t turn on the console. At first I thought that was a miss, but after looking it up, I discovered no licensed third-party controller can power on a PlayStation. Only Sony’s own controllers can do that. And the more I thought about it, the more I realized: if walking over to press the power button is my biggest problem, maybe I need to step away and play fewer late-night sessions. Rear Buttons & Setup Before the rear buttons worked, I had to connect the controller to the app and map them first. I originally missed this and thought something was wrong. Later, I found that Razer did include this info in the product images — but it was easy to overlook. If I could suggest anything to Razer, it would be to push important setup callouts further up in the listing. Once mapped, the rear buttons felt natural and instantly useful. Pros True premium build — not flimsy or generic Panda colorway looks exceptional (clean, modern, and collectible) Faster button response ideal for shooters Excellent grip and overall comfort App-based customization works smoothly Lag-free 2.4GHz connection Licensed PlayStation product from a premium brand Cons (none changed my 5-star rating) No rumble (but no licensed 3rd-party controller has it) PS button doesn’t power the console (again, no licensed 3rd party does) Rear button setup isn’t obvious until you open the app Button feel may take some getting used to if you prefer Sony’s softer style Final Thoughts At the end of the day, I want a premium controller built by premium brands — not a cheap knockoff hoping to pass as one. The Raiju delivers exactly that. It’s well-built, responsive, comfortable, and the Panda look makes it something you actually want to show off. If you’re looking for a high-quality, licensed controller that feels like a proper upgrade — especially for shooter players — this one is absolutely worth it.

Ok so I just returned my raiju v3 pro I was very VERY disappointed I gave it 2 to 3 days to impress me because I had bought myself this controller for my birthday and I was very excited to have a controller that gets no stick drift, now the feel and quality of the controller are good definitely a bit big but nonetheless good and I had read that for ps5 its better to use the wired option because of heating problems with the back of the ps5 and I used the wired option, I play marvel rivals, warzone, story games like LEGO Batman legacy of the dark knight resident evil things like that and I noticed every time I moved around or looked around in every game there would be a lot of delay enough delay to make me lose on my more competitive games so I went and researched more before giving up on the controller and after customizing it, changing the polling rate swapping the analog sticks nothing worked, I wasted 195 dollars and now it’ll take a week for my money to get back into my account, this controller isn’t worth the money. If you are reading this don’t be disappointed like I was and DEFINITELY don’t buy it no matter who tells you to it’s not worth it get a dualsense edge instead and swap the thumbsticks for Hall effect or TMR thumbsticks that’s the best advice I can give you.

This controller is premium. Build quality is second to none. It looks sleek and the mechanical buttons are responsive and have a great feel to them. The programmable rear buttons are excellently placed but the extra buttons on the shoulder are a little awkward. The ergonomics are what isn’t perfect. I was playing God of War and I found that transitioning from R2 to R1 over and over to do combos was causing fatigue in my finger. The layout really favors resting your fingers on R2 and L2. Excessive L1 and R1 is tough with this controller. It’s fantastic for shooters or games where you don’t need to switch to R1/L1 much, but there are more comfortable controllers that are good for any game type.

Razer is a company I’ve used for years, there a reason for that, they deliver quality products (except headsets, lol) and they hit the nail on the head with these controllers. Albeit, this is one expensive controller, it’s the best I’ve ever used. I love the weight of it and the feel when playing, it’s comfortable. I haven’t noticed any stick drift issues after 6 months of use, which is why we ended up getting these controllers. I absolutely loooove the customizable triggers and extra buttons, they have a nice click to them. They also add an extra level of ease when gaming. My only complaints are the mute button is useless, the middle button doesn’t wake up the PS5, and there’s no vibrate function. Though, those are all things I don’t mind trading for this sick controller!

I play different types of games from fps to single player games, but ill make it easy to understand things about this controller as I have scuf controllers with tmr dualsense edge and hex gaming phantom with hall affects and the last razer wolverine v2 pro. 1. Controller is too expensive for its construction leaving felt as if you ever bought an old PDP or mad Katz controller from back in the day. The black "rubber" parts are grippy feeling, but feels more like plastic molded to look like rubber 2. You have to use the included usb cable or anything like it due to the usb c connection in the controller being recessed in to avoid disconnection. 3. Now you have paddles vs whatever the wolverine v2 pro had so giving you 4 paddles and 2 more additional buttons next to the bumpers up top. You also have caps of you want to remove some of the paddles, but the issue is that you have a rubber piece covering the screw and the issue is not that it covers but more that if you pull it out you can risk taking it off the paddles/ covers exposing the screw for its entirety. 4. Remapping has being improved from thw wolverine v2 pro to the raiju v3 but limited. Out of the box you can remap on the fly with the function button and taping on the buttons you want to map. You can create up to 4 maps. However, it took several tries to be able to remap buttons as it kept getting out of the remap mode so I had to use the app which is okay allowing you to do Remapping and check the triggers/analog sticks with adjusting the dead zones. However, the pc app allows you to do much more than the app especially if you play pc to unlock the poling rate. 5. The ergonomic of the controller doesn't feel right in my opinion as the controller if chunkier than a regular ps5 controller and even bigger than the older razer controller that came out the wolverine v2 pro. 6. Buttons are great feeling like mouse clicks on the front as well as the triggers when you slide the button to get the mouse click triggers. So you can use the controller as a normal ps5 controller or go clicky for fps. However my triangle button was tougher to push down than the other buttons. If you use kontrol freaks for your ps5 controller then you'll need to buy Xbox kontrol freaks as the analog sticks are the same as an Xbox controller. The controller does have a short dome and a tall convex included but the rubber feeling cheap and of hard molded plastic. 7. Controller connects using a dongle or you can use the included usb c cable. Wired or wireless to ps5 or pc. You can not turn on your ps5 with this controller as if it was a regular ps5 controller nor can you mute yourself like a regular ps5 controller. The mute buttons is a dedicated button only when you have a headset plugged into the 3.5mm headphone jack. 8. Verdict, in my opinion its not worth it for the price as it feels cheap some buttons are harder to push than others. The on the fly remapping always turning off when in the mode. The paddles being an improvement, but feeling like it was just a wolverine v2 pro with three improvements the paddles, tmr sticks and the difficult on the fly remapping. The controller feels more like $130 rather than $220+. I would rather switch between my scuf and hex gaming phantom ( hall affects) than use this controller.

This is by far my favorite controller for competitive shooters. Ive used a Victrix Pro with upgraded hall effect sticks and the edge. Ill list the differences here for those three because it tends to be the three that are used the most for PS5 all are wireless but i prefer wired for competitive play(I use them for both PC and PS5) (not paid for this). 1. Victrix Pro- Pros- Good sticks, replaceable modules, some customization with the back buttons. Easy to use app. Cons- The triggers feel breakable when using the quick fire/quick scope switch, sometimes depending on the game can fail to register. (Driving for example tends to not register as full acceleration) you cant make the menu button on PS5 a back button, which sucks because its often a map button in FPS. Cant turn on PS5. USB plug. No TMR modules available. 2. Edge Pros- Solid feel, fully customizable back buttons, C type wire. Can turn on PS5 and customization is on PS5. Cons- no TMR modules (you can buy hall effect ones for around 40 usd) expensive to get on par, around 250 for controller plus hall effect sticks which are no where near as good as TMR sticks. 3. Razer Raiju V3 Pros- Fully customizable back buttons. TMR sticks, they dont feel loose at all, they feel smooth and can allow for mouse like adjustments. Buttons respond right away, almost feels like it sits on a cushion but has a crisp click sounds, this includes the back buttons and triggers, you actually notice a speed difference with the trigger stops. Cons- USB Wired, Cant turn on PS5.

Great controller IMO its better then the dualsende edge battery life, buttons and joysticks are defective better. I have about the same amount of playtime on each controller and my dualsense edge can't stay unplugged longer then an hour without dying and has stick drift. The button mapping and sensitivity trigger for the joysticks are a game changer would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a reliable PS5 controller. Only let down is powering on controller doesn't wake the PS5 just a Sony thing cuz my wavering v3 pro powers on my Xbox no problem
