Battery life is great, you can go sometimes 5 days without charging. Connectivity is seamless, and you can easily and quickly change between 2.4ghz and bluetooth. Audio quality is great despite other people telling you otherwise in other reviews. The hypersense feature is great in single player games and it immerses you deeper into the game, but in online games you might want to turn it off as it can be annoying because it boosts unnecessary sounds. Only con really is microphone quality. If the microphone is not in the right position, you can sound a bit foggy to your friends and quality is good compared to lesser known brands. I've only got two (maybe three) complaints about these headphones: 1. Due to a poor design choice, the plastic that attaches the drivers to the band is a weak point. Roommate had recommended these headphones and so I got them. His broke where the plastic was weak after 8 months-1 year. I thought he was just rough with them, until mine broke after shy of 2 years (within warranty) and I've only ever used these for light gaming and office work. 2. Firmware issues on boot. The ability to switch between Bluetooth and the wireless dongle is fantastic, but it tends to get "stuck" while trying to connect to the last device while booting up the headphones. And it won't allow you to switch manually at this time, kinda freezes until it gives up or makes a connection. 3 (ish). Wish there was better support to change chroma options than just through their mobile app. But that's pretty low on my list. Other than that, I love these headphones. The active haptic setting really adds a layer to games and music. And with a detachable mic and ability to switch between Bluetooth and the USB dongle on the fly, I couldn't ask for a better set of features. Which is why I was so bumbed after the first pair broke after just shy of two years. So bumbed that I made sure to register them, got a hold of the warranty team, and crossed my fingers. They were replaced under warranty and the process was really smooth. Thanks Razer, these headphones are awsome, and looking forward for several more years out of the new pair. ... show more

DO NOT BUY! Price is indeed too good to be true

Was in the market for a new headset and stumbled upon what I thought was a great deal. Original price $200 going for just $75!? Jumped right on it. First headset had issues so I returned it, figured there was no way a $200 headset would have issues across the board. Sure enough, next headset had the same issues. Just as another user said, "The connectivity is unbearable. Truly awful. The biggest issue is crackling noises every minute or so. Apparently this is a known issue for this headset. It crackles constantly like it is losing connection." Had the same exact issue with both headsets I tried. Save your money and buy something else! ... show more

Solid audio, cool features, poor customization, poor longevity

Bought this to replace my previous headset after it started getting a bit temperamental. In many ways it's a nice headset. It's very comfortable and lightweight, has some good features and solid audio quality, but after only two years this one has degraded to the point it can't be my main headset. The haptic vibrations are a fun gimmick in certain contexts, and I'd like to continue using it for certain things for that, even though it's proven itself to not (at least for me) be anything more than a fun gimmick. Unfortunately, the mesh cover to the headband padding started coming off pretty quick, seemingly because whatever adhesive they used wasn't strong enough to withstand the pressure that the padding put on it. That's annoying but fixable with adhesive. Unfortunately the headset has now also started being finicky about detecting the mic, absolutely refuses to detect any other mic plugged into it (I don't especially mind if it's not compatible with other mics for some reason, but I'm also not willing to buy a replacement mic specific to this headset to find out if that will fix the issue), and reacting badly to being plugged in while powered on. A while ago it started turning off whenever plugged in, and now if it's powered on while plugged in it occasionally emits an ear-piercing screech for a moment before turning off or resetting. Since I neither want to subject myself to that pain or experience hearing damage, the headset is now effectively unusable while plugged in. This means it is also unusable in what is the last at least half hour of battery life because every couple minutes all other audio will stop while a voice that is very loud regardless of your current volume and cannot be adjusted in any way will tell you that the battery is low. This behavior cannot be changed in any way, and settings can only be changed at all via Razer's mobile app, as this headset is incompatible with any version of Synapse. It has plenty of toggles and mode-switching it can do with the onboard controls, but if you want to modify that custom EQ, change or turn off the RGB, or disable the auto-shutoff feature (which you'll probably want to do because rather than happening when it receives NO sound for long enough, it will shut off if no sounds are louder than an arbitrary threshold for long enough. If you're listening to audio that's mixed low, the headset will eventually turn off) then you're going to need to use the mobile app. No single one of these is a complete deal breaker, but put together they give the headset a frustratingly low usability only two years after purchase, and the headset it was purchased to replace has been pulled out of retirement until I can get a replacement for its replacement. The positive features of this headset will keep it seeing occasional use so long as it's feasible, but considering it's the same price as the now 9 year old headset it was meant to replace, its effective lifespan being just over 2 years is disappointing (though it did manage to make it just a bit out of warranty before it started having serious issues) ... show more

Comfortable

I originally just connected my Beats Solo 2 to the ps4/ps5 controller and was happy with that for a long time but wanted over the ear headphones that were more comfortable and offered better sound. So I bought the pulse…and it felt like a vice clamp on my head. My jaw hurt for days. The sound is meh. So I bought sennheiser wired headphones to try a high quality make with better comfort. The sound was empty and low. I finally tried these headphones after seeing them in a review. If you own a ps5 just please try them. They have an adjustable strap and swiveling ear cups instead of a head clamp design. It makes long hours playing really enjoyable. The sound is very good and the haptics are really cool and add an extra dimension that I cannot believe Sony has not designed yet. Very easy to connect. Very rarely cause interference with the dual sense. Just stop reading reviews and buy them. Trust me. ... show more
