This keyboard is easy to type on and comes out of the box with white/blue color illumination. The build quality looks good. This is better for windows pc, but I am using it on mac for work. Check the sound on Razer website or youtube before deciding. This has the optical version and clicky, it looks pleasant to look at an type for long hours. My only trouble is the synapse 3 software (only compatible configuring app) with this keyboard does not have a mac version yet. So you have to live with the default out of the box configuration. You can re-map few keys using Mac keyboard options so I switched the function of window keys etc to match the Mac layout. I am hoping they launch Synapse 3 soon for mac so the full configuration can be leveraged.

Perhaps one of the most notable things for me is the open keyboard design that allows one to quickly and easily clean under keys. We all eat at the computer and I am no less guilty and the space under the keys are fairly accessible meaning that over the 6 or so months I have owned it I have been able to keep it spotless where other keyboard trap bits of food, skin, dust and whatnot and become a cesspool for detritus. Aside from that, the backlit keys make for easy visual typing in low light and the tactile feel of the mechanical keys make this keyboard a winner in my opinion. I didn't buy it for gaming and I have never played Gears of War. Razor makes good stuff and this feels like they built it well. It has a bit of heft to it telling me they used just enough metal in the right places to make it sturdy compared to so many flimsy feeling plastic keyboards that tend to walk across the desk as you type.

The keyboard is great the brightness is perfect its not too loud and its made from really good material it doesnt feel like it will break the very next day.

I like the overall layout. I thought I missed these types of caps but am learning I love the ultra thin keyboards with this layout and clickity feedback a bit more. This makes for a solid wired keyboard but I guess I am now a wire cutter and reach for my thin wireless and magic keyboards way more for every day use and desk presentation. I gave it four stars instead of 3 because I got a good deal on it and I like the light grey gears of war light grey and black color scheme. In the end it's not a 5 because it's not my preference. I guess I dislike having to install additional software to use most the features as well and one of the corners is starting to raise up which is no big deal other than cosmetic as it's just the design plate lifting which affects asthetics not performance but the only negatives I can think of. If you get a good deal on one of these it's built like a tank and looks cool. There are just so many mom and pop cherry 🍒 keyboards we should keep in mind as well. I am going to keep it but am also reviewing this after having it since early December thus acknowledging the excitement of it being new may not make it sound as cool as a fresh unboxing. Oh yeah let's leave on a positive note: Pros: Looks beautiful Easy to clean Rgb lighting if you install software Layout awesome Satisfying click Always important to have at least one wired keyboard for troubleshooting
