  • Absolutely Amazing
CPU: i9 Graphics Description: RTX 3070 Ti Style: UHD 144Hz
I love the computer and it works great for gaming. I absolutely recommend razer products as I have had several over the years with minimal issues.

  • Owned for nearly a year. Amazing laptop.
CPU: i7 Graphics Description: RTX 3080 Ti Style: FHD 360Hz
It still runs great after a year as most laptops should. Runs all games at max settings without any loss of FPS for example Overwatch, max settings, 120+fps, same with WoW, Cyberpunk i think on high runs 60fps. I've even had WoW in the background in a city, booted up and played a bunch of Overwatch and forgot i'd had WoW in the background for the past hour and didn't notice any drop in performance. 2nd, and last part so i can keep this short, is the fan is extremely quiet. My old laptop the fan was so loud you'd have to use headphones to hear anything. This one really is a whisper even when its hot. Only thing i'd improve is it's a little annoying if i leave it unplugged with the lid closed, or if im traveling with it and dont shut it down, after about 5 or 6 hours the battery will be empty. Even with lid closed, sleep active, etc. This battery dies quickly if its unplugged and in sleep mode. Aside from that, amazing rig. [edit] update, same laptop, a year later, still going strong. zero issues. ... show more

  • Razer has big quality control issues
CPU: i7 Graphics Description: RTX 3070 Ti Style: QHD 240Hz
First of all, I want to say this is a very nice laptop and has great build quality. HOWEVER, it appears that Razer has some very poor quality control (or lack there of). Before purchasing this I did read online and saw from many well known tech reviewers that Razer has been known for having QC issues and terrible product support. Unfortunately, I ignored these red flags and went ahead and purchased the 17 inch 2022 model with the 3070ti. Upon receiving it and setting it up I was very pleased with it, until I went to plug it into an external monitor (I actually tried several), via either of the two Thunderbolt 4/USB-C ports which are supposed to support DisplayPort 1.4 video output. Neither port would recognize any monitor I plugged into them (yet data drives/devices work fine with the ports). I reached out the Razer support and about 24 hours later heard back from them and they wanted me to try the usual stupid trial and error steps. Keep in mind that I repair laptops as part of my daily job. I searched the Razer insider forums and found that there are a number of other people with the same issue and have not gotten any resolution from Razer support. Razer hasn't even had them RMA/send the laptops into them so they can analyze the issue. Another thing that is alarming is that there are ZERO drivers, firmware, etc available for download for ANY of the 2022 models on Razer's website. Every other laptop manufacturer out there has drivers available for download on their support sites. Instead, Razer just has their Synapse software (which is also terrible). I get that Razer isn't the size of Dell, HP, Lenovo or Asus, but with the prices they charge for these high end products, you would think they would offer better support and have decent QC. My advice to anyone out there is to stay away from Razer laptops. UPDATE: I have been staying on top of the Razer Insider forums regarding this and it appears someone was able to resolve it by downgrading their Nvidia drivers to a previous version. UGH! That is something Razer support should have had people try early on. Too late as I already shipped back my unit ... show more

  • Perfect
CPU: i9 Graphics Description: RTX 3070 Ti Style: QHD 240Hz
It's a great machine. 240hz qhd display is great. The combination of i9 and 3070ti, 16 ram and 1tb super fast ssd is enough for me. 1x RAM and 1x SSD slot are empty and the capacity can be increased if necessary. The 17-inch version has extra RAM and SSD slots, larger fans, and a cooling fan built into the extra battery. Fan sounds may seem a little noisy to you, but they keep this beast cool. ... show more

  • Look elsewhere…
CPU: i7 Graphics Description: RTX 3070 Ti Style: QHD 240Hz
Purchased the product 6 months ago. The product is decent, but there are definitely many many better options out there. I had a small spillage incident. The laptop shut down and did not turn on. Honestly, having experience of owning at least 7-8 different laptops in the past and the amount of the spillage; I did not think much of it. Just in case, I had the laptop powered off and left it for 3 days. It did not power on. I contacted the CS and they declined to warrant the product. The quote I received for repair was nearly 1/2 the cost of the laptop. I have used razer products for a long and have endorsed it as well. I will not be anymore and would advise everyone else to stay away as well. I can see that some might be temped to try their product with cumulative price drops, but I am sure most people can figure that out looking at the negative reviews of their product in many people’s recent reviews. Something has definitely changed within the company. For those that are researching to purchase a laptop in this price range, look into Asus, Acer, Dell, Lenovo, MSI, or even Apple. I still think Macbooks are overpriced(based on my need), but at least their product is dependable. I’ve even had the Macbook fully submerged in water and it still functioned without any problems. With the current support that Razer is providing and the dependability of their product, there is no reason to purchase ANY product from this company. ... show more

  • WYSIWYG - Don't trust their service desk to answer questions.
CPU: i7 Graphics Description: RTX 3060 Style: QHD 240Hz
These are wonderful machines, but they are not configurable. What you see is what you get (WYSIWYG). I knew this when purchasing my machine, but had a few specific questions before spending the money and I contacted their support desk for clarity. I explained that I was researching models and wanted a touch screen. I was seeing conflicting information online and I was assured that R709-0423x product line has a touch screen, so I ordered one. To my surprise, no touch screen! I contacted their support people again and referenced my case number. They acknowledged that what I was told was wrong, but ignored me when I asked for recourse. Don't trust the service people to answer product questions! ... show more
