PROS: -Dat screen. I mean...have you seen a better one on a laptop? Any 4K movies or shows you watch on this are sure to dazzle on that practically unrivaled OLED screen. Sure, it's only a 60hz refresh rate but very few computers can run 4K at 60FPS anyway. You have to see the look of the screen in person to really understand. Very bright and vivid colors. Especially if you are into video editing or Photoshop, this will add a whole new dimension to your workflow. -Build quality. I've never owned a laptop that was built better and looked snazzier than the Razer Blade 15. Everything about it screams quality. It's as if Apple designed it, and you caught them during a year when they like black and high-end gaming. It's a high compliment to the team at Razer. Besides, I needed a gaming laptop that I could also bring around clients, and this meets that need bigtime. Slap a dBrand skin on it if you don't like the snake logo. -Performance. Outriders came out yesterday. I played it at 4K 30fps; it was gorgeous, and rarely ever had a hitch or stutter. It was surprising how smooth it played. Not every game is this way though, it may depend on how the game is optimized. Crackdown 3 for example, CHUGS at 4K Ultra or High, and there are just some games where you have to turn the overall graphics/texture quality down to achieve a stable framerate. OR you could downscale to 1440p and be totally fine. I don't count that against the Razer Blade. Because then I check out other games like Forza Horizon 4 in 4K, and I drool all over again. Keyboard: There has been a lot said about if this is a good keyboard or not, is this enough travel distance for the keys, blah blah blah. Me personally, I really like this keyboard. I have been doing some intense writing on it lately, and I am FLYING on it. At no point did I think to myself that this isn't comfortable or I don't like this keyboard. I wasn't even thinking about it, just typing away. I was worried that I wouldn't like the design of the arrow keys, but I ended up having zero problems with it when actually using it. Trackpad: Before this laptop arrived at my door, I was shopping for which Razer mouse to pair with this. Now that I have tried the trackpad, I genuinely don't know if I will go through with ordering an additional mouse (I mostly game on the laptop with an Xbox Controller for Windows, so no need for a gaming mouse). The trackpad is that good, and I typically hate using trackpads. The trackpad is huge, and does everything you need it to. There have been a few instances where some part of my hand will accidentally brush against it as I am typing, and my cursor in Word will warp me to earlier in my paragraph. But it is not a huge issue whatsoever. -RGB Lighting: For the Base model, it is not per-key lighting, it is the same RGB lighting for the entire keyboard, and you pick your color and/or how you want the color cycle to go. It's all very easy through the Razer Synapse app. This kind of lighting is really sharp looking and more than enough for me. CONS: -As many reviewers have mentioned, the laptop runs a little hot when gaming, video editing, or doing some other intensive task. IMHO, the major hot spot is not where the hands should rest in front of the keyboard, it is the space between the screen and the keyboard that gets surprisingly hot. But that's a spot you would rarely ever touch. The heat is virtually non-existent if you are doing something like web browsing or word processing. Me personally, I bought a laptop cooling pad and never looked back. I have gotten precisely zero BSODs or game crashes. -There may be times you open up your laptop and the OLED screen is acting like it just woke up from a nap and is not all there yet. It's dimmer than you remember, or just suddenly looks like a normal laptop screen. One of two things will happen. Either the OLED screen will eventually brighten all on it's own after sufficiently waking up, or you can tap that brightness Function key to make it snap out of it. This setting is on by default and I have not yet discovered how to prevent the auto-dimming, but it is not a major issue, just a slight annoyance to have to wait a moment to see that OLED greatness. - As beautiful as the laptop design is, the black aluminum chassis is a fingerprint magnet. It does come with a Razer branded microfiber cloth to buff them out, and it does work. But I personally recommend some kind of non-alcoholic wet wipe, such as a Dude Wipe or Baby Wipes, as it dries quickly and the end result is spotless. But what will likely happen instead is that you just accept it how it is, fingerprints and all. Who has the time to constantly buff all that out? -Speakers? I don't know, I see reviewers complaining about lesser quality speakers on this, but I watched Zack Snyder's Justice League on the Razer Blade and enjoyed the heck out of the audio. I'm kind of an audiophile myself and I never noticed an issue with the sound quality or volume level. But if you do notice something, use headphones. You were probably going to anyway. In conclusion, this is quite simply the best laptop I've ever owned, and I do not regret the purchase one iota. Sure there are some slight cons, but there are workarounds to each of them, I've shown you what they are. Besides, any perceived con you think that this laptop has will be washed away by the 4K OLED goodness. It's a treat to use it, and I don't think you'll regret it.

I'm writing this review nearly 6 years later, I've used and pushed this laptops limits countless times over the years. Purchase was made September 2020. Still utilizing it today to mess around on WoW every now and then. Still running 80fps with the 4k 60hz OLED screen its beautiful. I've always had a laptop cooler / fan table for it and no matter how hot it got it has yet to let me down. Even the battery is original. I did upgrade the Ram to 32gb around 2024 and it caught right back up. I clean it every few months and it still is so quiet for the power it produces. I've gotten the value I paid for this thing 10x over, even messed around and ran a crypto miner for several days straight. It has literally paid me owning this laptop, can't get a better value than that. Especially the Screen it has such a wonderful display and not a single pixel drop yet, it is still compatible with most of today's systems and apps. Compared to modern day cards and laptops this one still has a foot in the race. It's incredible.

I got this on sale and for the price I would say it's a great buy I picked it up for around $1700 early 2021 though the newer one is right around the corner I figured the extra savings was worth it. So far it has played everything I've wanted it to. I did get the 4k display as I play more strategy games like Halo Wars 2 than FPSs. something to be aware of is it does get hot while gaming but I usually use an external mouse and keyboard so it doesn't bother me but using the keyboard while its under heavy load is toasty. For productivity it has been great but battery life sucks so don't plan on being away from a charger for long.

I was leery of buying a laptop from Amazon as I saw many negative reviews about damaged or unfunctional laptops. Pulling the plug on a big purchase like this and worrying about receiving damaged goods is very disconcerting. However, I'm very happy to report there were no issues with my Razor Blade 15 base Oled with the i7-10750H (6 cores) CPU,16gigs of ram, 512 GB SSD and the 2070 max Q graphics card. I really love how this laptop looks! It's so beautiful! The stealth matte black, unibody construction and CNC machined aluminum is aesthetically pleasing to look at every time. This laptop is well built. The keyboard is great to type on and you'll learn the keyboard fast. Touchpad is large and great to use. Game play is good with the Oled 60h but if you're looking for a higher refresh rate you have to go with the other base models with the 120 hz or 144 hz refresh rates. Movies look great on this Oled screen, you'll enjoy streaming on netflix. So far I haven't experienced burn in but we'll see overtime. While gaming the laptop does get hot but so do all gaming laptops. This laptop doesn't come with windows hello or a fingerprint reader which is really lame especially for a laptop in this price range $1799 to $2299. My MSI GS66 gaming laptop has window hello and logging in is super fast. You'll have to type in a password every time you log into this laptop. Ram is upgradable to 64 gigs and there is a 2nd M.2 NVME slot to add more storage. Battery life is about 4.5 to 5 hours. Overall this laptop has been performing well with no issues but only time will tell. If your considering this laptop make sure you get this on sale $1799 or cheaper. I believe its $1749 now on amazon. The 2021 Razer Blade base models no longer come with the Oled screens. You'll have to get the advanced model for over $3000 dollars. This is a really good laptop but you should also check out the competition.

This laptop has some impressive features but more importantly it seems to be built with high grade materials such as CNC aluminum (very rigid) and to tight specifications. Yes the hardware i.e RTX 2070 MQ and processor are fantastic but the real gem on this version is the mighty 4k OLED screen. It is by far the best screen I have used on either a laptop or desktop and I have a nice gaming monitor for my desktop rig (1440P 144hz VIOTEK curved). This one blows it away in terms of brightness and clarity. Yes it has limiting factors such as 60 FPS but the color reproduction/saturation, brightness, sharpness and overall clarity are second to non. OLED technology is hard to come by for a gamer. I have yet to find an external OLED monitor for my desktop. I have owned several IPS panels which do a fantastic job with brightness and color saturation and do generally look very good but this OLED screen surpasses even IPS. The viewing angles are very wide. The color is phenomenal. The brightness insane. I got this laptop for creative content and games. I have not tried gaming as of yet as I use my desktop rig most the time but if it doesn't impress I will update my review. She's a real workhorse. Update: I have had the pleasure of testing quite a few games on this laptop and I am thoroughly satisfied with the laptop as a whole. COD:MW, RDR2 and several others and let me say they all look equally stunning. I want to be clear; There is no ghosting or tearing during game play. Yes the 4k OLED screen is 60 FPS but you can not tell. Best screen I have ever gamed on period. Color saturation and brightness surpass any gaming monitor I have ever used. Don't let the 60 FPS fool you into thinking the 4k screen isn't good for FPS's because it rocks.

This baby runs Skyrim at max settings at 60/fps. The battery life is abysmal ( 1 hour of Skyrim before I have to recharge.), but beings that I never take this baby out much, that isn’t that big of an issue. Razor sharp screen, fantastic sound. What more can I ask? Satisfied!

I got this laptop on June 2021, by Dec. 2022 it is making all kind of noises, the cooling fan is going all crazy, this has not even been use to the max, since it is not use for gaming, just watching a video and running spread sheets has this laptop crying with all kind of rattling sounds. To me, it was a big investment, I paid over $1.5k, I expected it to last longer without presenting issues. *AFTER 1 YEAR RAZER WARRANTY EXPIRES, AND AMAZON RETURN WINDOW IS LONG GONE* IF YOU GOING TO INVEST THAT KIND OF MONEY THINK ABOUT IT AND LOOK FOR BETTER OPTIONS.

Decided to replace an old Alienware 17 R3 and wanted to get something with an OLED screen and a RTX gpu for under 1400$. Buying one of these in like new condition seemed to be the answer. I only use the laptop as a side computer and still need to move a lot of stuff over, but did some gaming, content consumption, and simple tests to try and see if it was worth the pretty penny. TL;DR : its ok and does work, lacks the advertised touchscreen, no MUX switch so loses performance on its OLED screen (something you would want to use after paying for it), gets REALLY hot if gaming off desk, not a great value compared to others, keyboard is mushy/bad single zone rgb, trackpad is good, speakers are passable at best. Mainly a brand statement machine, wouldn't daily drive it. While gaming, the machine gets HOT. I thought my old chonky alienware was bad with its 970m, but if you put your hand on the chassis near where the GPU is located under a gaming load and not great ventilation, you could potentially burn yourself. It's science, but still fairly surprising. Performance is suitable until it starts overheating, where it will then throttle hard and lose any chance at rendering a game in 4k. I also don't believe this unit has MUX switch which is fairly disappointing as that is a performance hit while gaming on the OLED screen, which is one of the primary reasons I bought this model. Also sidenote, there was a type on the listing that stated the machine had touchscreen which later was revealed is only on the advanced model, so that burned a bit as well and my options were either return it or deal with it, not to happy about that but fine. Laptop still games fine, could play inscryption in 4k with high details laying in bed which was fun, OLED screen looks amazing in the dark but might be to glossy for lit up rooms, and as long as you angle the intakes to not be up against a blanket you should be ok. DON'T lay this thing flat on a bed, your legs, or a warm blanket, that would be bad for the system and worse case a fire hazard, its not beefy enough to spread the heat out, it just starts getting burning hot and throttling. I don't really got much left to say about gaming, it does fine, performs as expected minus the lack of MUX switch on a premium device, so I want to move on to style as that's a main selling point of this laptop. The smooth black aluminum chassis is very nice. I love the look of the machine, I had a blade stealth 2016 and this is just like it's beefier brother. The track pad is also one of the best you can find around. Giant and responsive. Almost played inscyrption solely with it but a little hard to right click in that setting with the angle I was at. The keyboard however feels pretty terrible. There is no travel, no actuation, no feedback. Just a small bump. The blade stealth worked as it was solid and dense enough to merit it, it feels even cheaper and mushier here somehow. Culminated with the lack of per key lighting and numpad, I actually kind of hate it. I like typing in bed and I wanted something a bit bigger than my old stealth/my alienware which had a pretty alright keyboard had a firmware bug that would make long term typing impossible without a restart. Speakers are pretty alright, not anything special but passable, would use em in a pinch or if I wanted to lay on my side but opted to just plug in headphones. Other winner is the OLED screen, which for now feels pretty awesome. Mini LED (actually saw a MSI laptop with this on newegg for a little just only had a 2060 for 1700$) / QA-OLED are around the corner so not sure if this is even valid enough for the laptop, but OLED rocks. Sometimes its hard to notice compared to the nicer IPS panels on something like the blade stealth, but the true blacks really stand out. Turning on the machine and seeing only the razer logo glow is kind of trippy, as im super used to the dark grey glow. I do have lingering worry for burn in but I don't daily drive the device and use it mainly for content consumption, projects when I want to separate from my desk, and school if I end up keeping it. Conclusion, its an OK machine, if you want to daily drive a machine, I would not recommend it. You can find something with better performance either cheaper, or better made. The OLED screen is super nice and I had an urge to own one to see what it was like on PC natively, and its nice but with QA-OLED announced the same week, it burned a bit. Other than that, unless the aesthetic/brand is your thing there is no real reason to choose this over options from MSI (had a newer/faster/ similarly priced model with OLED last week on newegg) or other brands.
