𝘁𝗹;𝗱𝗿: Solid build quality, theoretically responsive gaming performance, good typing experience. ┈╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍┈ 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 🛠️ Solid build quality; solid aluminum case with a thin-profile lip. 🎮 Has a high polling rate, although with tactile keys, it’s almost a bit redundant. It’d take more time to overcome the tactile bump than the difference between a 1KHz keyboard. 🔊 Sound dampening foam and gasket mounting create a satisfying typing experience, although still a tad hollow sounding. Also, surprisingly, not the best stabilizers I’ve heard on a pre-built, trounced by cheaper boards in terms of rattle or lack thereof ⚙️ Hotswap PCB and 5-pin compatibility are a win, but north-facing switches are an L. There really shouldn’t be any reason to have these in 2024. 💻 Synapse software allows for decent customization options. Never have complaints about it. Overall, a pretty solid board. Definitely Razer is many ways, which isn’t a bad thing. A mid-high tier board for a high-mid tier price. ... show more

  • A great board were it $50 cheaper
I have had the privilege this year of being able to review both the blackwidow V4 and V4 pro models, and boy am I torn. I have written a review of the pro (feel free to check it out on my profile), so I am going to do my best to not compare them directly, and rather review the V4 standard in a vaccuum. To start, the board feels exactly like every other Razer keyboard I have ever owned; in other words, its pretty average. Typing on it is a little bit hollow feeling, and the sound profile from the all-plastic body leaves much to be desired if you are used to building your own. This is largely driven by the sub-par selection of switches and (moreso) keycaps that come stock with this board. I went through the effort of switching all of them out for better options, and the final product is GREATLY improved. I will give credit to the fact that Razer is finally letting us hot-swap, but thats industry standard at this point so its more like they finally caught up to the competition rather than doing something stand-out. While I cringe at the thought of $200 (or $300 for the pro model) for an all-plastic board, the build quality itself is excellent, and a reminder of why Razer has been on top for so long. The aesthetics of the board shape and textured designs on the back face are admittedly very snazzy and do a lot to make up for the cheap feel when picking it up. It has a nice gnarled volume knob with two analog buttons up top, all of which feel great to use and can be customized in the app. Add to this the included magnetic wrist-rest, and you can start to justify the price point a little better. Overall, the build quality and design are serious highlights of this board, and the primary reason I could see myself using it more. Then there is of course the Razer classics; RGBs and Razer Synapse. If you are an LED-head, you already know that Razer is king of making things light up. This board beams out colors and light while running and fits in great with a modern streamer battlestation. The lights and everything else can be customized in Razer Synapse which, while improved since past years, is still a horrendous disease on most computers. Some people will be turned off by the need to stay wired while using the board, and while its not a huge deal to me, it does feel like a bit of a relic in 2024. For me, I actually think this board is a better deal than the Pro model as its almost identical apart from wireless features and a pointless OLED screen. Is this the must-buy board of the year? No. Absolutely not. For $100, you can probably find similar if not better feeling boards that come with better stock switches and caps (although the RGB will not compare). If you buy this board will you regret it? Also no. Its definitely a steep asking price in such a crowded market, but Razer is as name-brand as it gets and this board definitely fits the bill for most people. Overall, this is a well-earned 4/5 for me; not perfect by any means, but definitely a board that could replace your current gaming peripheral if that time has finally come. ... show more

  • Love it!
THEY LISTENED! FINALLY!! Blackwidow V4 75% is the nicest board Razer has ever made hands down. They finally listened to the community and you're not getting a $200 board that next to a $10 board you wouldn't tell a difference in years past. This year is COMPLETELY different and Razer has answered all the questions surrounding why such a big company couldn't make an edgy, beautiful, and strongly, heavily made keeb! But alas my friends, they did! And this new year's lineup will change everything for Razer moving forward. ... show more

  • A little pricey, but a good Razer keyboard
Feels great to type on. Construction is high quality with a good amount of aluminum, which I would expect at this price point. I like the Razer orange switches. Even though they are tactile, not linear, they are still pretty fast for gaming. Keyboard layout is generally good. I would prefer HOME/END instead of PAGEUP/PAGEDOWN but you can just use the FN key to switch between them. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with extra keycaps should you want to switch the layout, though you could change it in software and add your own keycaps. But, overall not bad for a more compact keyboard. The wrist rest is nice and comfortable. Usually stays in place too. However, I know from previous Razer keyboards that the wrist rest can wear out so hopefully it's easy to get a replacement later. RGB looks great. I appreciate the shine-through keycaps for use in a darkened room. Software control is decent, though the app can be a little clunky in some ways. If you currently use other Razer products then the same app controls everything. Lastly, should be noted that this isn't wireless. I don't necessarily need that, and there is a more expensive model that has that feature, but much cheaper mechanical keyboards have that included these days. If you like Razer's products and this keyboard isn't missing any features you want, then it's a solid choice that should last you a while. ... show more

  • Best Razer keyboard we've owned!
Awesome Razer keyboard, best one we've had yet. My husband uses it with his pc and loves it. Now I want one because it's so good. Great rbg lighting, keys feel good and clicky, swappable keys, nice arm rest, well built all around, and keys are responsive. My husband says he has no complaints and its the best Razer keyboard he had owned. Very satisfied! ... show more
