This is an excellent dock, cooler and additional SSD drive holder for the Mac Studio. I have a Studio with the M2 chip and the dock fits perfectly. I like the fact that you do not have to remove any screws to open the door on the bottom of the dock where there is space for 2 solid state drives. Installation of my two drives was fairly straight forward. Though, my only "gripe" is that the screws that hold the drives in place are very small and there isn't a lot of extra room available if you use the longest drives supported by the dock. A pair of small needle nose pliers really helped. Everything you need is included in the dock package. In fact, the package itself is of unusually good quality. My. only other issue is that the manual for setting up the dock is mostly in Chinese and some of the graphics showing what each port of the dock is used for is unclear. For instance, the port that supports the USB C power supply is marked incorrectly in the English version but is marked correctly in the Chinese version. There are also some very good YouTube videos on how to set up the dock. My recommendation, a better, all English version of the user manual should be included with the dock. The power supply does not need to be used if you are simply using the dock for cooling and the SSD drives. Though there is a note that using the power supply with the drives can help reduce any chance of the drives uninstalling themselves. I should also note that there are indicators for what the ports do on the dock itself, but they are in white text on a silver chassis, so seeing them can sometimes be hard to do. I really like the placement of the cooling fins and how they lift the Studio up for maximum cooling. The included fan is only slightly noticeable and can be turned off using the push button switch in the back. If you leave the fan switch turned on, the fan will automatically start and stop when the Studio is powered on and shut down. Connection speed to the Studio is excellent and the included short USB C cable is a nice touch. The color of the unit matches the color of the studio. Besides some few minor nits, I give this product 5 stars. It's more expensive than other docks I researched, but it is well worth the money. The build quality appears to be excellent.

Only 2 weeks into this, I'll revise this in a couple of months as I see others are having disconnect issues. 1. Appearance - matches size, color is too light, but overall looks to be built very nice. 2. Setup- I wanted onedrive on this, it failed as it saw this as an external drive. After reformatting several times, using encryption tricked onedrive to seeing this as a permanent drive and works well. 3. Function - no drop offs, fast, no issues...I really like it. No issues coming back on line when my Mac studio (new version) goes to sleep. 4. Overall rating - instructions could be better but I thru the issue into ChatGPT and it figured it out. I really like having the ability to have 2 vs 1 external drive which puts this infront of other similar products.

Bought one and the build quality wasn't there, so I put it back in the box and returned it. Went with OWC MiniStack instead. Gave it 3 stars because I'm sure it does the job just fine even though it looks cheap.

This is one of the best USB-C adapters I've used, it's compact and fits the side of the laptop. It gives you the ports that should have been on the side of the laptop, and it works on either side. It has a metal case and blends well with the Macbook's darker color.

I play WoW which is really not a hardcore AAA type of game that puts a very heavy load on the drives, CPU, or GPU so my Mac Studio is massive overkill. I really wanted this to work and it does, most of the time. The problem is that it randomly disconnects so everything stops dead and I have to force quit everything so I can then restart the Mac and have it see the drive again. I'm using the external storage as my main drive so this is completely unacceptable so I'm returning the product.

No cords like tradition extensions. No issues with dropped data when using screen or wireless keyboard. Love the slim design. Easy to carry with the Mac. Looked at a lot of extensions since Apple no longer supports ports, this is a great one. Recommend
