  • Excellent Brake Pad - Highly Recommend

  • Great quality at a great price
Style: EHT945H
Installed on 2004 jeep grand Cherokee with no issues. There is no noise whatsoever and it came well packaged. If you install these and they make noise, most likely your rotors are warped and they took the shape of your old brake pads OR you did not lube the caliper slide pins correctly.

  • Worked on 2007 Pontiac Vibe, FWD, Front pads
Style: EHT923H
Quality pads, pre-broken in. Mix of semi-metalic so I'm hoping it works a bit better than than pure ceramic on my wife's car. At 125K I purchased drilled and slotted rotors which came with ceramic pads. After about 10K miles the car started 'chugging' when stopping. Warped brake rotor type symptoms. I tried to burn off some glaze by dragging brakes for a mile and then some hard stops but it didnt really work better. Got 'free' replacement rotors with $31 shipping. Bought these brakes to try something better. Looking at the old rotors they dont look bad at all , pads either. So I kept both as spares if we put another 75K on the Vibe they might go back on (I hope not) . I was not real happy with the caliper slider pin grease when I did the rebuild this time so I scraped out all old grease and flushed with cleaner and repacked with pin grease. MAYBE that was the real problem. Please clean your pins and repack with proper slide lube. After one day of use the results are positive. I will update if I change my mind ever on these pads but they seem to be good. Came with stainless glide sheet metal and fit exactly right. I didnt need to grind the ears any which happens sometimes on cheap pads. These are four identical pads, with no wear indictor squeakers if that matters to you. ... show more

  • Good so far
Style: EHT1444H
I replaced my brake pads myself yesterday on my 2013 Hyundai Sonata. So far so good. Easy installation, Quiet braking, smoother driving (far less steering wheel shake), great brake response. I'll change my rating once i break them in 3 months from now.

  • Skeptical
Style: EHT908H
First time doing my own brakes and put them on my car today. I assume most people buying these are experienced doing their own brakes and would immediately discard instructions. It's not exactly rocket science but simple instructions or images would have been helpful for a first timer like myself. I was kinda surprised that there was no literature in the box, not even a QR code to a YouTube video or a link: just four brake pads and four pieces of hardware. That wouldn't be a big deal or a pain point if not for the following. When I opened the plastic the pads and parts were contained in, one of the metal covers for the back side of the pad was hanging out loose. Not that big a deal. I bent the tabs a little and pressed it back on but it was still sliding from side to side on the pad and came off more than once. Then another one of those covers came off of another pad just from normal handling. Again, not that big a deal, but it gave me an impression of low quality. When I tried to put the rotor back on, it seemed too snug to fit, so I used my new spreading tool to make sure the caliper piston was fully depressed and tried again. The caliper still seemed to snug to fit properly, so naturally I tried harder before giving pause to figure out what was going on. What happened was the cover of the pad on the opposite side of the rotor had partially come off again and was preventing the caliper from going back on. I removed the pad to address this and then had difficulty getting it back on because the pressure I was applying to the caliper caused the pad cover to crush the bottom clip. This made it necessary to remove the outer pad so I could bend it back, but it was difficult to get it seated properly at this point. Eventually I got it and got the pads back on and the caliper went back on easily. I realize these are rookie mistakes. However, they wouldn't have happened if not for the poor fitment of the chincy covers. Everything went smoothly with the driver's side installation. After installation, I noticed that the metal covers actually don't match the product image on the box. Because of the cheapness of the covers, I ended up being sort of skeptical about whether the pads are genuine Raybestos. Long story short is that I'm a little irritated at what seems like shoddy quality control and the problems that caused. The metal covers on the Carquest pads I removed are tight and secure. Their retention tabs are sturdy and it would take effort to pry them loose. I expect the same from Raybestos. Had they delivered in that area, the installation would have been a piece of cake and I would have been much more satisfied. ... show more
