  • The work great on my mother's 2013 Elantra, no Grease included though.
Style: EHT1544H
I bought these brake pads for my mother's 2013 Elantra, and they work great and installed easily! One tip for replacing Elantra brake pads - the caliper pistons must be screwed in, they don't just push in like other/older cars! I didn't know this and wasted a bit of time screwing with it before I realized. Another note - these brake pads don't include any lubricating grease to eliminate squeaks. Use grease on any parts where metal touches metal, or you will get squeaks! I still rated it 5 stars because the listing doesn't say it includes grease, some other brands do, though. ... show more

  • Skeptical
Style: EHT908H
First time doing my own brakes and put them on my car today. I assume most people buying these are experienced doing their own brakes and would immediately discard instructions. It's not exactly rocket science but simple instructions or images would have been helpful for a first timer like myself. I was kinda surprised that there was no literature in the box, not even a QR code to a YouTube video or a link: just four brake pads and four pieces of hardware. That wouldn't be a big deal or a pain point if not for the following. When I opened the plastic the pads and parts were contained in, one of the metal covers for the back side of the pad was hanging out loose in there. Not that big a deal. I bent the tabs a little and pressed it back on but it was still sliding from side to side on the pad and came off more than once. Then another one of those covers came off with just normal handling. Again, not that big a deal, but it gave me an impression of low quality. Removing the old pads and putting on the new ones wasn't difficult. When I tried to put the rotor back on, it seemed too snug to fit, so I used my new spreading tool to make sure the caliper piston was fully depressed and tried again. The caliper still seemed to snug to fit properly, so naturally I tried harder before giving pause to figure out what was going on. What happened was the cover of the pad on the opposite side of the rotor had partially come off again and was preventing the caliper from going back on. I removed the pad to address this and then had difficulty getting it back on because it had bent the bottom clip. This made it necessary to remove the outer pad so I could bend it back, but it was difficult to get it seated properly at this point. Eventually I got it and got the pads back on and the caliper went back on easily. I realize these are rookie mistakes. However, they wouldn't have happened if not for the poor fitment of the chincy covers. Everything went smoothly with the driver's side installation. The final straw was that after I finished and cleaned up, I grabbed the box off the kitchen counter where I left it and noticed that the graphic on the metal covers didn't match what I recalled seeing on the pads themselves. Unless my recall is faulty, I thought the covers simply said "Raybestos" with a stylized "R." The image on the box shows that stylized "R" followed by "EHT." Images in other user reviews also show a part number on the metal cover. This being Amazon, I ended up not being confident that the pads are genuine Raybestos. I didn't think I'd be writing a review so I didn't take pictures, and I'm not about to take the tires off again to verify what the covers look like, but I'm irritated at what seems like shoddy quality control. The metal covers on the Carquest pads I removed are tight and secure. Their retention tabs are much higher quality than the product I received. I expect the same from Raybestos. Had they delivered in that area, the installation would have been a piece of cake and I would have been much more satisfied. ... show more

  • A noticeable difference
Style: EHT2102H
The initial impression I get of these brake pads is that they are of good quality. Meaty pad surface and nice appearance installed. I have 5 spoke wheels on my Accord and I can see the pads through the wheel s and partially through the caliper. Aesthetics aside, the bite from these pads is noticeable. The pads feel just as capable as the OEM pads they replaced. I haven't had too many miles on these just yet so I can't speak for how dusty they will get, but so far I am more than happy with these Raybestos pads. ... show more

  • Excellent value and trustworthy brand
Style: EHT1544H
High quality product, backings painted white, low dust, replaced power stop brand that lasted 50k+ miles in commute traffic. These appear very similar. Be sure to use brake lube liberally on caliper pins and such.

  • 1st Gen Tundra/Sequoia - pads have changed, now have 2 slots (though you might get one slot or two)
Style: EHT976H
I ordered a set of these (EHT976H) in May for my big-braked (gx460) 1st gen sequoia. I got a set of pads that matched the OEM single-slot configuration. I was pretty happy with them from a braking power, noise, and dust standpoint. So when I needed a set for an 06 Tundra, I ordered them up. However they arrived with "two" slots, which didn't match the Amazon or Raybestos product photos, or my previous experience. So I contacted Raybestos and they said the photos are correct and that the EHT976H was not a two slot pad. They told me to send them back to Amazon because there must have been an inventory error. I then ordered another set. Those also had two slots. So I sent them back. Finally I ordered a pair from a large online parts place (rhymes with "dock" auto). Those ALSO came with two slots. What the heck? So I spent about two hours trying to contact a tech support person at Raybestos (note to Raybestos: your mailbox is full and most of your phone numbers go to fast busy. Not cool). I finally got someone to pick up a call, who then forwarded my request to engineering. A day later I got the word: two slots is now correct for EHT 976H, HOWEVER you may get one or two slots (all your pads should match, regardless), depending on inventory. I asked why they went away from the previous (OEM) single-slot config. They said it was done to standardize the pads with others in the line. I'm not thrilled with that reason. Had they said it was done for better performance or longevity or reduced warping or anything like that I'd feel a lot better. "Standardizing" strikes me as a lowest common denominator/highest profit move, which contrasts to with the "performance" I got from the single slot pads (and why I ordered them again). We'll see how they hold up. I'll update if I have any issues or if the performance wows me or something. ... show more
