  • Great Mitt!
Color: Single Post Double Bar Web | Brown Size: 12.5" | Utility Hand Orientation: Left Hand Throw
This Rawlings brown leather first baseman’s mitt is great. It came out of the package almost game ready. The quality of the leather is outstanding—thick, durable, and already starting to form a great pocket after just a few uses. It has that classic Rawlings feel and craftsmanship you expect. The mitt breaks in nicely without too much effort, and the padding is just right—comfortable and protective without being bulky. It has been great for the men's adult sofball league. ... show more

  • Nice glove
Color: Pro H-Web | Brown Size: 13" | Outfield Hand Orientation: Right Hand Throw
I was looking for a glove to play with my kids with. This is a great glove at a good price. Its crazy how expensive baseball gloves are now, so it made me happy to find a solid glove at a good price. It had a good break in rate. Looks great. About the right amount of flexibility. Not a bad glove overall. ... show more

  • Great quality, but a rather tight fit.
Color: Basket Web | Brown Size: 12.5" | Utility Hand Orientation: Right Hand Throw
I am a 31 year old guy, 5ft 9 in, ~160 lbs, with medium sized hands I suppose. The 12.5” Player Preferred model is rather tight around the fingers and thumb to start with. I don’t know if the fit will loosen over time. I am guessing mostly not. The thumb loop can be adjusted and re-tied easily enough, but not for the 4 finger(s) spacing. I ordered both this model and the Rawlings Renegade model in 13” off amazon. I am testing both out to see which one I like more. The webbing size is fine for this 12.5” size, but the difference with the overall fit of the hand between a 12.5” and 13” is staggering. There is a much more “snug” fit with the 12.5” size as I said, even though the 13” glove is a different model from Rawlings, called Renegade. I wouldn’t know how a 12.5” Renegade glove would compare to this Player Preferred series unless I ordered those specific sizes for each, which I did not. Overall, this Player Preferred glove genuinely “feels” higher in quality, while only being marginally more expensive... maybe $20 more or less than the Renegade model...but again the quality is noticeable! The Renegade 13” model also had interior leather stitching I could feel just below the pinky liner area when I move my pinky inward, whereas this Player Preferred 12.5” model did not have any issues with unwanted stuff I could feel inside the lining where the hand goes. When you buy a glove, no matter the cost, I imagine someone wants their hands to be comfortable and not have their hands “rubbing” against something that should not be there. It’s a small annoyance, but it’s definitely there! Maybe the Renegade 13” model I tried was an anomaly in that aspect for the questionable pinky lining? For more than $40, a person should be able to get a glove that doesn’t offer any discomfort for the lining area, no matter how minor. I like both gloves... I like Renegade’s extra hand space and larger webbing, but the Player Preferred model has quite a bit better construction with smaller webbing and a tighter fit. Also, both gloves had leather hand lining for the palm of the hand, then a different “warmer” material for the back of the hand. It’s a good combo for the interior lining that provides a quality feel no matter which glove you decide upon. Both have a Velcro strap— my 1st glove to have one— which really does help to provide a better fit than I thought the Velcro strap would. Decisions, decisions... I hope that I helped for someone on the fence between the two Rawlings models, or any glove(s) at similar price points! ... show more

  • Best in class.
Color: Pro H-Web | Brown Size: 12.5" | Utility Hand Orientation: Right Hand Throw
In this price range, it's hard to find a better option than this glove. It's super comfortable and looks great. It comes virtually game ready out of the package, and is easy to break in. It was good to go after some manual working of the glove and a single catching session. I'm a grown man, 6'1", 275lbs with grown man sized hands, and the glove fits great. It would probably be an excellent choice for a bigger 12-13 yr old and will likely last throughout high school and beyond if properly maintained. ... show more

  • Great glove!
Color: Pull Strap | Basket Web | Brown Size: 14" | Outfield Hand Orientation: Right Hand Throw
This is a great glove! Requires very little time to get it game ready. I paid $50 so for that price is a tremendous value.

  • Comfortable and Game-Ready for Casual Play
Color: Basket Web | Brown Size: 12.5" | Utility Hand Orientation: Right Hand Throw
I picked up this Rawlings Player Preferred glove for weekend softball games and it’s been a great choice. The 12.5 inch size with the basket web is super versatile. It works well whether I’m in the outfield or just playing catch. One thing I really like is how soft and broken-in it felt right out of the box. There was still a little shaping needed, but it didn’t take much to get it ready for the field. The leather feels solid for the price, and the padded interior makes it comfortable to wear for longer stretches. I’m not a serious player, just someone who enjoys a good game with friends, and this glove gets the job done. If you’re looking for something reliable that doesn’t cost a fortune, this is a great option. It would be perfect for casual players, beginners, or anyone needing a quality backup glove. ... show more
