I got this camera to compare to one I bought over a year ago. It did only come with one battery and it's a smaller battery than the previous one. So I will have to buy extras. There is also no lens cover, so you'll have to be careful when not using it. Other than that, I am fairly pleased. It does record the videos as AVI instead of MP4, which my Windows 7 had an issue with. I'm not sure if there is a setting to change it. But I put the video into an editor, changed nothing, and exported as an MP4 and the video came out perfect. Audio and video lined up perfect, afterwards. I did try to share a link to my video review on my personal channel, but Amazon wouldn't allow it. So you'll just have to take my word for it, I guess.

You never know what you'll get with an $80 camcorder. My expectations were low and perhaps that's why I was so impressed. The camera works well, is responsive, has easy hot swappable SD cards, and an external, removable battery. The biggest thing I'm a fan of is the fact it isn't connected to my phone and allows me to focus on filming, not notifications or text messages. PROS - Form factor comfortable, familiar - Removable and expandable storage - Playback smooth - Battery capacity, flexibility - Sound quality CONS - Little lighter weight makes it feel not as substantial in the hand - 4k video just doesn't work but 1080p is crisp, smooth, and plenty clear - inexpensive enough to take on trips without the fear of breaking - no lens cover
