This is very fun for family time or even a hobby. What I pile most is the assortment of colors. It also comes with a guided numbers make sure the colors are properly placed.

With 2 kids and busy days, it took me about 4 months on and off to complete this painting. This is similar to the coloring games on my phone but soooo much harder in real life, but the experience is really unforgettable. The pre-printed numbers on the canvas make it easy to know which color to use where, so even a beginner painter like me was able to do this. The canvas is easy to paint on, the acrylic paints are vibrant, and the paint brush make it easy for you to get to the tight areas. If you're looking for a fun and relaxing way to explore your creativity either by yourself or with your family or friends, this is a good way to go about it.

I got this to give in a family gift exchange but ended up not using it for that, so I'm keeping it for myself. It's a beautiful paint by numbers kit, comes with the paint and a somewhat decent paint brush (could easily be upgraded for a better one or more than one of different sizes). My only complaint with this kit is that some of the areas to paint are so miniscule and tiny that it's hard to keep in the lines and you wonder if it's even worth doing those tiny areas so precisely. That's all up to the painter, but I've done these before and they turn out nicely. Its a fun activity and good way to spend the cold months, dreaming about traveling somewhere warm and pretty. It takes patience and dedication to finish, so don't plan on a quick project, but it'll be worth it in the end to have it completed. It's printed on a heavy canvas and suitable for framing.

This is a great time consuming project that provides a sense of accomplishment and is goal oriented. These are some of the reasons I got this kit. My daughter struggles with ADHD and when we are experiencing a flurry of impulsivity, inattentive behavior and other feelings, this project helps to calm and refocus her. It takes a level of concentration without the overload of multistep processing. She looks at the number on the canvas, finds it on the paint container and paints. It really helps her and me. AND on top of that bonus...it is a beautiful picture. What was also nice is that the paintbrush has two ends with 2 different size bristles. We haven't experienced any problems with this yet. The drawbacks we noticed are one, the paint dries very quickly and doesn't seem to be a good quality paint? But, this could be a good point too because it kept my daughter from smearing it when her arm accidently dragged across a section she just finished. Two, I fear there isn't enough paint in the small canisters, but I'm sure we could use a similar color if we run out. Overall, great project but be prepared to put in the time.

So this is a crazy intense paint by number kit, thus the 14+ age range. I am a long time fan of the Ravensburger brand, so was intrigued when I saw they have started doing paint kits! This is a pretty picture, and it comes with VERY explicit paint directions - up close the template reminds me of a pointillism type project, but we will have to see how it looks when it is finished! My daughter took one look at it and told me it’s going to have to wait for winter break, as it’s going to take some time to finish! That being said, from looking over the kit I wish that it had included more paint, and paint of a higher quality. GIven the time to finish this kit up something nicer than a $ store type looking acrylic paint should be included, it would give a much more premium feel to the kit. I will be swapping it out. That being said, all the same, love the scenes available in this line and it will be a fun weekend activity that doesn’t involve screens. Another winner from Ravensburger!

Ravensburger makes quality products. This paint-by-number is no different. The materials are high quality. I liked how the paints went into their own palette. The paint is vibrant and spreads easily. However, this is not for beginners. This is a very complicated image, with very small numbered areas. The room for error is very small, which is why I wish the paintbrushes were even smaller. Some spots are smaller than the paintbrush this comes with, which means as soon as you put paint on the surface, it is bigger than the area it is supposed to cover. I am going to have to buy smaller brushes. Otherwise, this will give you hours of enjoyment.

This is a fun and unique experience for anyone that is interested in art! I'm not a very good artist but this provided a unique experience for me, without pushing my artistic limits (which are very low, again I'm not good). My partner does have art experience and she enjoyed it as well. I think this is a great compromise, to expose art and art ideas to someone who doesn't have skills to enjoy that aspect, but still wants to enjoy the creation process. The guide is very easy to follow. I personally liked the picture a lot as well, but that's totally subjective. The quality is reflective of the price - so not fantastic, but totally passable as someone who has no opinions on paint or brushes.
