Using a built in accelerometer to make this tail light behave as a brake light is inspired — it engages on a three-second power up, else just one-and-a-half without. It has several modes of lighting levels and flashing intervals which stay in memory after being powered down. The braking effect overlaps with whatever mode is set. I’m done with bike lights that require button batteries which you have to buy in multiples and are half expired by the time you need another — if you can find where you put them. This thing recharges via the provided USB C cable. A simple click on the power button indicates current power levels with a steady two-second display of green if >40% and red if less — which blinks if urgently in need of a recharge. This light is under the power button itself, so keep it facing up so you can see it when mounted on the seat stem. CORRECTION: I was wrong. In my original review I said "The only iffy thing is the bands which strap it to the seat stem. Although a spare band is included, the design would be improved if the band attached to the light in a semi-permanent hinged-hookup so that it doesn’t get lost when removed to be recharged." However, as I have subsequently discovered, there is a small hole through which the silicone band can be inserted and looped over itself on one side of the device to ensure that the band stays in place. Recommended!

Good basic tail light. 5 modes. High and low constant on plus 3 flashing modes. Control is by a single push button. Long press for on, short press to switch modes, long press to turn off. One nice feature is mode memory. The light turns on in whichever mode was last used. No need to go through all the modes for the one you want every time you turn the light on. Personally, I only use 1 mode so this feature saves time. The button is small and takes a fair amount of pressure to work. Gloved hands may have a problem. Charging is by way of a USB C port under a rubber cover. Cable included. It seems to be reasonably waterproof. My one concern is the mounting system. Although adaptable for a number of mounting points, it depends on a single rubber ring that goes around 2 rather shallow hooks on the light. If the ring is not well seated in the hooks, or it breaks, you could lose the light. An extra ring is included. On the plus side, the light mounts quickly with no tools required.

I got this rear bike light for the bike my wife uses, and it's been great. It's really bright and was very easy to put on the bike—it just uses a simple O-ring and came with a spare one. What I really like are the smart features. It has a brake light that gets brighter for a couple of seconds when it detects you're braking, and an auto on/off function that turns the light off after you've been still for a few minutes, then back on when you start riding. Make sure you keep the little paper booklet to remember how to use the functions. I've watched it while my wife is riding, and I can see the features in action. They work fairly well. Charging is straightforward, too. It uses USB-C, and the indicator light turns from red to green, so it's easy to tell when it’s fully charged. Overall, it's a really good taillight with some useful features.

The media could not be loaded. Solid product and bright for cycling safety. I own a magicshine light which is rated at 50 Lumens and this ravemen light put as much or maybe brighter than 50 lumens (rated at 30). Based on my experience, the ravemen utilizes bigger LEDs and it has a more direct shine making it more noticeable at longer distance. See pictures and videos for your reference
