    • Overall a good product, but tricky to install on a tapered handlebar. Here's why...
This is a good product and appears to be reasonably well made. I did have trouble installing it on a tapered handlebar because clamping anything on the tapered part of the bar tends to walk toward the narrow part and not stay clamped tight. The solution is to tighten the clamps to THIS bar first, THEN clamp the 2 clamps to the tapered bar. That will keep the clamps from walking/sliding to the narrow ends of the tapered bar. ... show more

I just received a new treadmill but the handle was too far back that, to hold onto it, I had to lean awkwardly forward and then it pulled on my lower back. This worked PERFECTLY. The only challenge I had was that my treadmill handle is square and this is round so, as my husband tightened it, I held a bit of a sponge on the corner of the handle. It looks a bit unusual but works GREAT! I can't be the only person this happens to on a treadmill so perhaps this company would consider making one for that purpose with square options for the attachment part. ... show more

It is kind of lightweight, but all metal and a fair deal. I like to take the kitchen sink with me biking, this will help open up prime handlebar space. I'm an inventor and creator and can make this work well. I'm ordering another one. It took a week to get here, but it was free shipping and I have to give props where due. It is a fair deal, and a great deal for an inventive mind. Also, although I'm not going to... With a tube cutter you can make two from this one.     • Bar is way to short.
Bar is so short it's not that great. You get some additional room to mount a couple of things but in my case I needed to put mirrors on the new bar more outboard than my handlebars currently allowed . This bar being only 11 inched long it was useless for that purpose. I mounted my Bluetooth speaker a little tiny reflector and bike lcd control display to the new bar . The display had to be moved up from my e-bike handle bar to the top bar because the new bar covered the display. There wasn't anything left for the mirrors to be attached to It. The mirrors were the actual reason I ordered the new bar. I don't know why they only offered these in a maximum of 11 and 1/2 inches. I wound up using a piece of chrome tubing I had that with the proper diameter, cutting it to the length I needed, sanding it and painting it black and using the clamps only to modify this into something usable. It is what it says it is but I don't understand why they don't offer them in longer length. ... show more

Like others have said the unit does not tighten to where it will not slip. I needed a water bottle holder for quick access and needed the room the bar would offer. The weight made the bar slip. Ended up drilling and tapping an allen screw in the handle bar clamp and the extender clamp. Used an 8/32 x 3/8" allen and a 9/64" drill bit. A little lock tight and it is not going anywhere. ... show more

Other reviewers are right. The shims included are made of plastic, and will not grip the bike’s bar well when tightened. You will need to buy rubber shims to use in place of the plastic ones. Good thing I read the other reviews, and did order rubber shims to fix this problem. This is a design flaw. Also, the material seems to be mixture of plastic and metal. I’m afraid if I tighten too hard it will break. ... show more
