I ordered these to hold my four wheeler in place on my metal trailer. I would say they hold the ATVs in place but they have some issues. They tend to bind and they can be hard to release. It’s not a deal breaker for me as all ratchet straps do this, but I think it’s worth mentioning on here. Overall these get a 4/5 star review from me.

If you have a truck, you can't have too many tie down straps. These were easy to use and have a strong strap. I've always had problems getting the ratchet to release, but these were no worse than others I have used. Good value and held the new mower tight on the way home from the big box store.

These are ok straps. Not using for boat straps but just a tie down to use on my truck when I am hauling a motorcycle. I use them to pull the tailgate up and hold it against the back tire of the bike. They work well for light duty jobs. Keep them in my truck for whenever I need to strap something down.

I've had a variety of ratchet straps of various sizes over the years. When it comes to holding the transom of a boat down to the trailer, however, even a 6' or 8' strap is going to be too long, and then you're left with tying off the loose ends somehow to keep them from beating your boat to death on the highway. This pair of shorter tie-downs is just right for that purpose. Long enough to have some room for adjustment, yet short enough not to have so much extra strap hanging. Otherwise, they're pretty similar to most other straps I've used and they do what they're supposed to do, no surprises. It would be nice if the body of the ratchet were coated, because I have an antique wooden boat and I have to be careful not to scratch the bright finish on the transom.

I wouldn’t use these to hold my pontoon boat to my truck but they work great for securing items to my boat while in tow. They are easy to adjust and I found the mechanism easy to release.

So, don't be like me and forget to read how long the straps are - when I first pulled these out and was trying to use them, I was surprised that they were shorter. HOWEVER, if you want a shorter ratchet strap (I.e., don't want as much carry-over strapping), this is a great product. The ratchet is smooth and opens and closes easily.
