I bought this item to replace RALENO, 2 Packs LED Video Light. Those lights had a built-in battery pack, but no remote. So, I thought the extra $60 was worth the remotes on this new set. Remotes are very important so you can adjust the lighting from a distance; when you are doing self-portraits etc. Guess what? These lights have no built-in batteries included, you have to buy them separately at $60 for each side. Very disappointed. Other than that, the lights are very bright and are completely portable...except you have to be close to an outlet. If you plan to photograph on location, you have to invest in the battery packs. Lastly, as I live in Hawaii, Amazon will not deliver the batteries even if I choose to pay extra to buy them. ... show more

I think they are great right out of the box, they are BRIGHT! Super easy to put together and super easy to put away! This is going to be a great addition to my set up! The media could not be loaded. I’ve been shooting products for 40 years this year and I’ve used dozens and dozens of different lights and modifiers. Shipment came in today and everything else but one of the panels is great. One of the panels only works when plugged in via DC power and doesn’t accept battery power. I’ve tried multiple configurations to get it to work and swapping fully charged batteries in multiple combinations. Doesn’t work, otherwise seems to be a good product… UPDATE! Customer Service contacted me about this issue and sent me a new panel to replace the one that only worked when plugged in via DC cable. Customer service was on point and I am very thankful for the replacement! ... show more

    • Don't leave it plugged in or they won't turn on.
Great lights except you can't leave them plugged in. For whatever reason, the remote does not work when fully charged. The lights will not turn on, however, if I unplug them for 5 minutes and re-plug them in, they turn on. Annoying but not a deal killer. I use these for my pottery wheel as I"m set up in the basement and they are perfectly bright for my needs. Too bad they are funny with the charge. ... show more
