RakeZilla Lake Rake Heavy Duty Lake Rake with Long Tines. RakeZilla is multipurpose, heavy duty lake & pond rake for aquatic weeds & beach. This one- of-a-kind lake rake offers a super wide 40 inch rake head making it possibly the best aquatic rake for managing seaweed, algae, leaves, & other debris in lakes and ponds. RakeZilla's extra long 9" tines and adjustable curved grip handle makes it easy to collect and scoop heavy piles of lake weeds and load into wheelbarrow or trailer to haul away. RakeZilla can also be used to skim and collect floating weeds and debris using the included detachable float and 25ft rope. The rake teeth also extend above the top of the rake giving you the perfect tool for grooming and leveling your beach sand. The rake comes standard with a two-piece 7 ft handle but you can add an optional extension for a total of 11 ft. The ergonomic curved handle grip makes it easier on your body than most rakes. We recommend adding the Weed Shear lake weed cutter as it makes for an affordable companion tool.

The Rake Zilla handled a very difficult pond weed, much better than other rakes, and without it we could not have done what was needed. We used it so hard we broke it, but the company selling it replaced all the broken parts without any question. Excellent product, excellent support. We bought this rake to remove over an acre of smooth beggarstick pond weed. For those unfamiliar with this plant, it has tall flowering stems, dense foliage, fine roots that migrate down to the bottom about 2 feet, and the fronds can break off easily. It is heavy. Our horses love eating it, and in fact broke the root system so that huge swaths of this plant migrated freely around the lake, totally blocking off where we feed fish. It's a mess. Rake Zilla tines are long enough to penetrate the dense foliage, and the rake strong enough to pull out over an acre of this weed. It was very hard work and very hard usage. Our son, a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army, broke it by pulling too hard, but it took someone with immense strength to do that. It works ok. I was hoping to pull the weeds out by the root And have a cleaned out area. That won’t happen with this tool. It will thin the weeds though. It was almost like I was combing the weeds and some would pull out. Wear gloves. It will turn your hands black form the aluminum oxidation. PROs vs Cons: It’s super nice quality. Looks nice and feels good. It’s easy to use. Cons, it’s REALLY expensive for what it is! It won’t pull out the roots. The nice foam handle keeps sliding off. All in all it’s a good quality tool. But I think it’s too expensive. If you are using a cutter already and just want something to bring in why you’ve cut that’s floating this would work great. ... show more

This thing works good,was using landscape rake and pitch fork.it removes 3 times as much weeds,mud sticks whatever it grabs in half the time.don’t think about buying it,just buy it.if it was bigger you couldn’t pick up the amount it grabs.wish I found it years ago

This is a very sturdy rake. It was easy to put together. We bought the 11 foot option and it is heavy. The good news is that you can easily shorten the rake by removing the 4 foot spacer if you want to make it easier to manage then add it back later to lengthen the rake.. It would work best from a dock so you can pull the rake and weeds straight up. We have a rock breakwater. It didn't work that well against the rocks but works well with a dock. ... show more
