Okay, so to be honest, this was one of those toys that as a design-minded parent I bought largely for myself. I love the rainbow colors, the irregular fitted shapes, and the natural elements theme. But my 3yo was just as drawn to it as I was, and after several weeks she still plays with it frequently. It's great as a puzzle, but even more so for open-ended creative play: she's used it to make tunnels for toy cars and horses, laid them out end-to-end like a path, and tried balancing them in fun ways. They're also great for learning colors. The overall puzzle is a bit bigger than I expected, but that's on me for not reading the specs, and I wish the tray that it comes in was designed to store and display the puzzle verically, so that we could enjoy its beauty standing on top of a bookcase or something when not in use. (We do usually lean it against the wall at an angle and that works okay.) The pieces are substantial wood, but not as heavy as some wooden blocks we've had, which is also nice. Overall, I recommend it and feel like it's worth the price.

I have been eyeing up the Grimms elements for months and months. This popped up on Amazon and was on sale for prime day so I said why not, let's give it a try. Guys. Buy it. The pieces are huge and well made. My kiddo loves it. It looks great on our coffee table (practically a piece of art). Brilliant brilliant brilliant.

I love this set. I love the colors, these will be a great addition to the play area. BUT - they didn't sand the wood. For $116 I would have expected a smoother block finish instead of this very rough texture. I will now need to use a high grit sandpaper and smooth EVERY SINGLE ONE down.

This a very large puzzle, larger than I anticipated, and I love it. I am a public school Pre-K Teacher and use this for my classroom. This items lends itself well to be used in your loose parts center or literacy center as a way to help children use them as "props" to tell their stories. I included a picture as one way I have used them to help them narrate their stories. This is just one example. Of course it makes for a beautiful and interesting puzzle as well. I love the open-ended-ness and versatility of this piece. Well worth the money!

This thing is WAY bigger than I expected. I am so pleased with this set for 89$. Very nice wood quality. Almost don’t want to wait until Christmas to open them 😭❤️🎄🙏🏻

The whole set is much larger than I expected. The paint has a matte almost dull finish, but they really are fun and even look nice as a coffee table center piece when not in use. The set came nestled in a wooden frame which is very helpful for storage. My kids have enjoyed building creative scenes with these unusual blocks, overall worth the purchase. I only wish the paint had a more finished look, but still a cool set and worth the price.
