I have bad discs and chronic back pain and this girdle is a godsend. I've bought these before at a local specialty store for twice the price so Amazon saves me big bucks. Also here are a few tips from a long time wearer. Buy large and very carefully remove the stays from the garment. Still does the same job only more comfortable. The garment will stretch eventually so you do want a little tight. I was a 7X and after losing 60 lbs that put me at 190 I still wear a 6X. These girdles are worth buying, I've worn my original ones for almost 6 years and they've just started to fall apart in the last year. This is everyday all day wear for 2 girdles. I didn't think I would be able to afford more until it occurred to me to look on Amazon. They support my back wonderfully and make it so I can walk around at my job during the day without much pain. If you find the stays uncomfortable just take them out. I know what I'm talking about. ... show more

Horrible fit…too big. I only buy Rago and I don’t know why this did not fit. Price is way too expensive to make a mistake in ordering. I put it on the last hour before I left home and to my surprise it didn’t fit. Couldn’t send it back. I’ll reorder a different size.

I'm not sure what body shape this product is designed for. I'm pear shaped. I bought this in the recommended size. It fit very snuggly from the hips to about my belly button, doing the shaping thing I bought it for, but there was gaping from then on up. Perhaps I am shorter than it was made for (5' 4") and my waist curvature is to sharp/sudden? So it failed to keep me smooth as there was extra fabric in the very area I wanted to make look thinner. Additionally, my butt is perhaps oddly shaped (at least according to the people who made this) as it cut into my lower cheeks where it meets my thigh, giving a visible "panty" line. I think you will have more luck if you are relatively straight from waist to thigh but have a protruding belly? Not for me, and laziness made me miss the return window. It is very well made and sturdy. I can easily see how it would be great at shaping and sculpting if it fit right. Additionally, it's not itchy and the fabric is breathable. I feel like if I was the shape it expected me to be, it would have been a staple in my closet. ... show more
