I really like this tricycle. It reminds me of when I was a kid way too long ago. Radio Flyer has been around a long time. I really like that. It has all the Radio Flyer quality that I was used to when I was a kid. Very sturdy and well built. Good instructions on how to assemble. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble only because I could not find my hammer. This is what took the most time. If I had all the tools available, it should have only taken 10 or 15 minutes at the most. This tricycle has a rod in the back which allows you to keep your child going the right direction. This rod is a great addition for a beginner tricycle. It can be removed when no longer needed. If you push the rod slowly and help your child to steer with his or her arms and hands then your child will quickly learn how to steer this great toy. Start out slow and don't do the steering yourself. Pull and push on your child's arms and hands to steer the tricycle. This way they more quickly learn what is required to steer. The only thing I did not like was that it was made in China. However, I did not ding the product for being made in China. The price was great for the quality of this product. I sure would like to see "Made in the USA" more. Kind of saddens you when the great toys of yesterday are no longer made in the good ole USA. Still rated it 5 stars because it does look to be very sturdy and should be around in the family a long time. I still use a 30 years old Radio Flyer wagon to pull my 2 year old in. I used it years ago with my second child who is now 30 years old. Sure do like the name brand. NOTE: I was careful to read the reviews before I bought this tricycle for my 2 year old. Taking a few minutes reading reviews can save you a whole lot of time down the road. This is something I am doing more and more as I order more products over the internet versus buying locally. Most local retailers sell junk so you will have to buy again soon. This helps them maximize their profits. But does you little good. This is why I am more and more an internet shopper for what my family needs and wants. I live in a large metropolitan area with many stores close by and I am convinced that most of what the local stores are selling is junk so they can make another sale soon of the same type of product. ... show more

Great upgrade from the Radioflyer Fold 2 Go Trike!!! Our daughter is 4 yrs old and we knew she needed this after her knees were starting to get close to the handle bar. Great little bike! My 2 year old fits on it with the seat all the way down. The seat goes up so she can use it longer. 4 stars because it’s a little smaller than some of the other radio flyers I’ve seen and the handle bars don’t move so if her knees hit it then seat position doesn’t matter. The parent handle is great so you don’t have to lean over to help push. The handle doesn’t control the wheel so you have to physically pick up the front wheel with the handle but still a win in my book. It does come off when they get the hang of it. Easy assembly. I bought the 12 inch for my 2-1/2 year old granddaughter and was so impressed, I bought another for charity. This Radio Flyer tricycle is the real deal. Sturdy metal frame, heavy enamel paint, beautiful chrome, tassels, and even a bell. The box it was shipped in was reinforced in just the right places with parts well protected.
