Bought these to cover my windows so that my dogs couldn't see out the window, but light would still enter the room. Really pretty pattern. Recommendations: The material comes rolled up, so once you've cut what you need, roll it up in the opposite direction so that the edges don't curl away from the window Use a LOT of water. If you have trouble getting rid of all the air bubbles after your first attempt (and this is after cutting it to size), peel back half, spray more water and slowly lay it back down. Repeat on the other side. This extra water can make it easier to just slide/shift it into the place you want it without picking it back up again. Don't worry about getting your edges perfectly straight (and I'm a perfectionist!). I found that sometimes it was easier to estimate how much to trim off and cut with scissors. I could see gaps around the edges, but didn't notice them once I stepped back. I started with a pocket knife to slice the edges, but even then I would sometimes get off track (maybe a box cutter would have been more effective). ... show more

I have become such a big fan of these window films. Originally I purchased one because I hate the way blinds look but I still wanted my privacy. Not only do they give me the privacy I desired but they make my windows look so beautiful. I ordered this one specifically because of the colors. However when I went to apply it to my door I realized it didn't have any colors in it. BUT, when I applied it to my door and the sun hit it it was a wow moment! All of the colors of the rainbow were hitting the walls and floor in my kitchen area. I did not cover the window entirely because I did want to be able to see out when necessary but I love how beautiful it now looks and applying it was painless. I can see myself using this film on other window- like products as well. They are pretty versatile. I haven't tried to remove it yet but I think it will be a pretty easy removal. All I can say is if you are looking for a touch of class and added privacy, this is worth the money. Definitely on the top of my list of recommended products! ... show more

We bought this privacy film because the blind on the door to our house was constantly breaking from the door opening/closing. We LOVE the rainbows and installation was easy enough. To apply cut to similar size of area applying, wet the area, apply the film, then use razor to trim after getting air bubbles out. This product worked great on the window to the door entering/exiting our apartment BUT we decided to also use it on the decorative window to allow more light into the stairwell while having privacy. This is where the 4 star rating comes in. Although this product is great if you're a renter (since it doesn't use adhesive,) using static to cling the film to the window, this method does not work great in smaller areas. I had to use a lot of tape on the decorative window to try to get the film to stay. I am hoping with time the film will become more flat and maybe stay without the tape? Will report back. But overall great for regular windows and for renters who may need to remove later and won't have to deal with the mess adhesives leave. ... show more
