When I ordered these, I had no idea how much I was going to like them. They were a lightning deal that couldn’t be resisted, and I bought them on spec. I thought maybe I would use them down the road in a cabinet with glass doors. And when I opened them up and took a look at them, I was just doubtful. They really looked like plastic, and I just couldn’t see how they could work in my 1926 house. Well, boy was I wrong. These rolls sat under my bed for 2 years, and I finally pulled them out this week when I was so completely fed up with the new construction going on next door to me that I was ready to try anything. I just could not bear to look out my bedroom windows at a wall of windows 15 feet from my house for one more minute. So I put these on the 2 south windows in my mbr, and oh the difference! The rolls I bought were their smallest size, and ended up being shorter than the horizontal windows, so I had to break into the 2nd roll and splice in a ¾ “ strip at the bottom of each window. Hint: if you have to do this, cut a strip at least an inch wider than you need, and line up the factory machine cut edges. Then position it to your liking, press into place and cut off the rest with a utility knife or xacto knife. And be sure to use a fresh blade. You’ll get a good result, and no one will know that you had to do it but you. So now I am seeing what the rainbow film can do. I have shutters layered in front of my windows, and they work very well together. When it’s cloudy, the film blends into the background and I don’t notice it much. It is pleasant and has slight rainbows, sort of an opalescent white. Vaguely iridescent. But when it’s sunny, it’s a whole different story. This morning was the first morning I walked in to full sun on those windows, and I stopped in my tracks because I couldn’t believe my eyes. The windows were sparkling with rainbow colors, and throwing rainbows madly against a nearby wall. Showstopper! I grabbed my phone and have been trying to capture pictures that do it justice, but my Samsung Galaxy phone is maybe only able to show the rainbows at 1/10th power. In person, they are FAR more gorgeous. I don’t know how to describe it other than to say the room is a happy powerhouse now, and a bit like having the Northern Lights move into my house. And it couldn’t have come at a time when I needed it more. When other reviewers talk about how the rainbow privacy film shifts the energy in a room, believe them. I pay attention to that kind of thing, and I already have swarovski faceted crystal spheres hanging in the windows for feng shui purposes. So the energy in my house is already pretty great. The rainbow film took it to off the charts great! If you are aware of such things too, I think you will be very pleased. Just know that when I first opened them up, I thought the chance of me giving them a 5 star review would be close to zero. And you might think the same until you see them in action. Then seeing is believing. And now that I see them in action, I think they deserve even more than 5 stars. And I’ve never thought that about any other amazon product ever. ... show more

I absolutely love this window covering! The light still comes through, and the rainbow pattern is much prettier than I was expecting it to be, and not the least bit annoying. At sunset, from the outside, looking in, the covering gives off a beautiful amber color, which draws much attention from passerbys. I have also received many compliments from people who visit, and neighbors who now wish to purchase one for themselves. The amount of privacy this window covering affords, is more than worth the reasonable price. The best thing about it is that in the daytime, I can still see what's happening outside, but people looking from the outside can't see in. At night, it's a little easier for people to see in, but they would still have to know the inside of your house fairly well, and have their face pressed pretty close to the window to really be able to tell what's happening inside. Fortunately in the evening, I just close my blinds and problem solved! I'm so impressed with my Rabbitgoo covering that I plan to buy more for my back door as well, to block out the nosy neighbors and afford myself more privacy. Can't wait to get going on that next project! If you're still on the fence as to whether or not you should purchase this, I highly recommend you give it a chance! At this price, what do you have to lose? On a side note, it's very easy to apply. All I needed was a measuring tape, a box cutter, a level for pushing the air bubbles away, and a spray bottle. Whatever you do, please be sure to measure first, and make sure your measurements are highly accurate! That's about the only way you can go wrong with this. We have 3 long narrow windows in the stairway to our walk up, and were trying to find some way to provide a level of privacy without sacrificing the wonderful sunshine that comes in through them. I saw these used in narrow front door windows, and decided to give them a try. So glad I did! The material was easy to cut to fit our windows, and application is a breeze - just follow the instructions! We cleaned the windows, then just misted them with water, and applied the film. We got a squeegee from the dollar store, and it worked great at getting all the bubbles out. The film stays moist enough to be able to remove them all, and it doesn't move or get new ones afterward. And the rainbows!!! It is just beautiful, both during the day and even at night. We get beautiful halos of light after dark from nearby streetlights, and although I am sure you can see shapes from the outside in the daytime, there is enough privacy provided to deter voyeurism. I bought this privacy film for my front and back door that have mullions, and it was surprisingly easy to measure and trim the film to fit each pane. I did the first two windows without cleaning them and they still stuck easily, but I used rubbing alcohol spray to clean the other windows and it made application much easier and nearly perfect! I used a box cutter and ruler to trim the film without a problem. the small $9 roll was plenty to do one door. The film itself is a bit frosty and doesn’t appear colorful until it’s applied to the glass and light shines through, so don’t worry if it’s not colorful at first! I used a credit card to get any wrinkles and bubbles out, and peeling the film back to adjust it on a window pane didn’t impact the stickiness/adhesion at all.
