  • Works as expected and easy application
Size: 23.6" x 78.7" Color: Matte White
I bought an installation kit together with the film to make my life easier. I cleaned the surface with Clorox and wet paper towel as the first step, sprayed lots of water, peeled off the back side of the film, adjusted the location of the film while it's sticking on the window (easy to take it off and put it back), and cut off the edges very easily using the bubble scraper (?) to hold the edge and using the cutter between the edge and the bubble scraper and moved them all together from the bottom to the top to cut off the extra film. Once you understand how this works, it's easy. It is easy to remove the bubbles because it's wet inside. It was hard to even recognize any remaining bubbles at the end. I'm getting another one for my other room. My office is still bright with some of the light coming in. ... show more

  • Be careful with the claims made in the product description and the videos
Size: 17.5" x 78.7" Color: Pure
The installation went well enough, but here are my caveats: First, you need to separate the window film from the plastic protective backing, and this is a pain. There is a tab of sticky tape at the corner of the sheet you pull to get started, but the tape used on the tab is not strong enough to separate the layers. It just comes off, leaving you with nothing to pull. I had to carefully cut the film without also cutting the protective backing. That worked. Secondly, the "static cling" claim is not accurate. You need to spray water onto the window liberally. The videos show a small piece being "easily" removed and reapplied. Forget it. It needs to be very wet or the film won't stick permanently. This allows positioning the film as needed. You can smooth out the film and remove bubbles pretty easily. I used the squeegee we have for cleaning the shower tiles. Lastly, trimming the edges is really critical. Put a brand new blade in your Stanley (or Exacto) knife. I used a metal ruler pushed up against the edge of the window pane to hold the film in place while I trimmed. I had good results, but trimming the corners is very difficult. Again, pressing the ruler hard into the corners helped. Without this, the job might have been botched. Not perfect, but I am pleased with the result, especially compared to spray-on frosting solutions that stink up your entire house and don't last long. I would definitely buy this again, knowing what I know now. Make sure you measure your windows first and get the right width. ... show more

  • Easy to adhere
Size: 17.5" x 118.1" Color: Pure
It looks great! I’ve had these up for about a month and they look good and are still adhered to the windows. It lets light in and gives privacy to my front door! I live in a place that was built in the 50’s so it’s kind of crusty, any spots you see is just old paint.

  • Advice
Size: 35.4" x 78.7" Color: Matte White
This needs to be made in a larger size. I purchased 5 of the largest size rolls to put on a large sliding glass door. I had to cover it in 3 different sections. I also covered some smaller windows that were easy. This is the reason I took off one star. Privacy is good. My primary concern was privacy when looking through a window into a well lit room at night. Doing this, I can't make out anything in the room. The only form I can make out is the ceiling light but even then it only looks like a diffuse blob. I don't think you can get more privacy with this without blacking out the window. The only issue I would see with privacy is if you have a floor lamp and walk between it and the window. I would cast a diffuse shadow but otherwise not show much. Here is some advice after having spent many hours applying 5 of the large rolls to both large and small windows. After going through 5 large rolls I feel like an expert at applying this now: 1. Use a lot of water. You really can't use too much. You don't NEED a lot of water, but more is better. 2. If you can, also wet the back of the film with as much water as possible. 3. You can either pre-cut or use a utility knife to trim once it's on the glass. Either method works (I used both) but I found pre-cutting easier if you can take precise measurements and cut in very straight lines. Scissors cut it easily. I did this for my smaller windows but the sliding glass doors were so large that cutting in a precise straight line of 78" was too difficult. I ended up trimming those. The main issue with cutting it when it's on the window is that it doesn't always cut cleanly and sometimes will snag and start to pull off causing a ragged edge. Having a lot of water helps the cut go better. Also, the blade needs to be really sharp and clean so change often especially since glass will dull the blade quickly. I went through 3 blades while doing mine. 4. If you trim the film on the window instead of pre-cutting, make sure you have a straight edge to run along the window to hold the film in place while you cut. If you don't hold it in place while you cut, it will easily snag and start to pull off the window introducing annoying bubbles. I used a 2 ft long and thick metal ruler. 5. Don't try to peel of the backing as you go. I know it sounds like a great idea but it's not. the backing will pick up moisture off the window (requiring you to re-wet it) and it requires a decent amount of force to pull off so if you don't hold it, the top will start to detach from the window. Instead, pull the entire backing off and stick it on the window. At first it will be a mess with large clumps and such. Once it on, however, slide it around (takes some force) to get it where you want it. It will start to slide if you push it enough and there's enough water. It's critical that the window have as much water as possible since that it what lets you move it around. I applied two full size uncut 35" x 78" rolls to my sliding glass doors with this method by myself so no piece is too big. 6. Patience, patience, patience. If you're applying large pieces by yourself like I did, you need a lot of patience. Just keep in mind that you can always start over. This isn't an adhesive that drys. You're not on the clock to apply it quickly. Re-wet if you need to. 7. Since my sliding glass doors are larger than the entire roll, it had to cut 3 pieces to fill the entire window. The most annoying part of this was trying to line up the seams. The biggest issue I ran into is that sometimes when you apply sheets, they tend to stretch a little here and there. For example, I applied two 78" pieces to a window but due to stretching they ended up 1/8" different in length on the window. For this reason, when covering a window with multiple pieces, I usually preferred to have some overlap and trim along the edge with a utility knife. It's really tedious and time consuming but turned out OK. 8. If you have OCD, this stuff will drive you mad. Corners and edges won't always be perfect. Even tiny sub-mm gaps that let light through will be visible in daylight Any dirt on the opposite side of the glass will show very visibly since there's no distance to diffuse it. 9. Make sure the glass is clean. This is really important. Even more than dirt, make sure there is no hair or other small objects. Once on, those little things really stand out. Same thing with creases. Make sure you don't crease the film since this will end up looking like a stuck hair behind. 10. Small pieces are a cakewalk. Compared to the sliding glass doors (done in 3 sections), doing my smaller windows was really easy. ... show more

  • Helps the doggies stop barking
Size: 23.6” x 118.1” Color: Matte White
We have a large 5 panel bay window that faces the front yard and street. I’ve done my best trying to train my reactive dogs not to bark at the window. They have gotten much better since I started Training them but with my new job working from home, I couldn’t have them barking anymore. I am Against bark collars or other negative reinforcers. Decided to try this film out. It’s super easy to install. Peels right off with no residue if you make a mistake. I used A sharp knife to cut off the excess and then used a peel and stick trim to like the edge so it looks complete. An added bonus if you can see from the outside looking in, which also makes me feel better since the sidewalk had a prime view into our house. It gives the window a frosted look and the barking has since ceased. Very easy, rented friendly as well! ... show more

  • Awesome!
Size: 17.5" x 78.7" Color: Matte White
Wanted to frost the glass on our entertainment center. I've been putting blankets in there but the see through glass always bothered me. This was so easy to install and looks great. I'm very happy with this. Installation was so easy and it looks exactly how I hoped it would.
