Ok so I kept seeing this product on social media being promoted by influencers and I was really skeptical... thought I'd give it a try. I saw some mixed reviews on here and a lot of people hating on this product too. I tried it just now and wow I'm oddly surprised. So first off, yeah the price is kind of steep , but you literally only need a pea sized amount whenever you use it, so a little probably goes a long way. First impression I thought the packaging seemed kind of cheap and plastic and even the label was stuck on crooked. I opened the product and it smells really good, kind of a sweeet, fresh scent and a little bit like men's perfume. Smells leagues better than dry shampoo thats for sure. Anyways I gave it a whirl, dug a little pea sized amount with my fingernail, warmed it up between my fingertips and rubbed it in my scalp near my bangs and then kind of styled them with my fingers a bit. I have blunt baby bangs btw so yes they are a nightmare to style. So my first thought was, wtf what a weird texture, feels kind of unpleasant in a way, but damn it worked like magic. It gives amazing volume and definitely a matte texturized finish. Kind of more like a matte styling paste with the illusion of clean hair. Don't expect your hair to feel soft, healthy, and clean to touch though...just go shower and wash your hair if that's what you're looking for lmao. Anyways, I like how it can easily give a messy volumized rock star look if thats what you're going for, or also for a last minute, no time to shower need to get out of the house in two minutes but need to look presentable kind of thing. Smells amazing and the product will clearly last forever. I am still trying to figure out how to properly use it. A friend of mine swears by it for her bangs. I notice it will fluff my bangs and layers up but it doesn't necessarily stay "dry looking". I do feel the greasiness does return by the end of the day after using it in the morning. I got bombarded with all the IG ads for this so I too fell for it, and am sorry I did. As others mentioned, it’s pricey. If it works well, I wouldn’t mind the price because a little does seem to go a long way. However, I’m not sure why they’re selling it as a dry shampoo. It’s very sticky/tacky and made my hair feel like I put cement in it! It felt so dirty and heavy. I will try using it as a styling pomade on my ends, but putting it in my roots to absorb oil did not work and made my hair look dirtier and oilier. I have a love hate relationship with this product. It feels like sand is in your hair after using it but because of that it holds really well in my bangs because they like to split. It has unfortunately cause me to break out on my forehead like crazy. It is hidden by the bangs but not thrilled about the acne. I’ve used this product for a few months. I reserve it now for special occasions when I need my bangs to look perfect but not for everyday use which makes me really sad because it works so well for styling my bangs. This for bangs is a godsend. Way more user friendly than dry shampoo sprays in my opinion. I have jet black hair and blunt cut baby bangs and this keeps them from looking stringy/greasy, holds them where I want them without being weighed down. I finally get the hype. If you are thinking about trying it, just do it. At first when you warm it up in your hands(a tiny amount), it feels intimidatingly wet/greasy, but somehow when you put it into your roots and bangs it just works like magic and adds volume and hold.
