This is a easy bolt on replacement or an good add-on to increase the security of an overhead door. 4 self tapping screws and 'VOILA' , you can secure that door. I added this to the opposite side as the original to make it harder to force the door open.

This is a perfect lock to a garage door. This was very easy to install and works like a charm. My garage door already had two pre drilled holes that lined up perfectly with the middle holes of the lock. There is a spring at the back that helps to keep the lever in place whether it was open or locked. The lock felt solid and well built and didn’t feel like it would fall apart if someone tried to open the garage door. A very simple overall design that should keep the honest people honest for a very long time... It is very heavy duty and very good of it's kind. It could be improved by including a high quality lock and key. It looks good and feels good and is easy to install but you do have to have your own tools to do so because they are not included, it comes with the screws, etc. but you will need your own tools. I have seen better and more heavy duty garage door locks but all things considered (price) very nice.
