Had to replace my shower valve from the back, this gave ample space to do the job. One thing to know if you’re doing one of these is to make sure that you drill a hole through the wall from the valve side so you know where to cut your hole. Make sure you don’t over undercut anything to where you can’t get a tool in as well. Overall, it does its job. I like the fact that it can hinge or just pop off completely, remember it’s not a perfect square so plan accordingly. I used an oscillating saw with a drywall blade to cut the hole, I traced out the hole from the inside of the box, as in, I placed the box where I wanted to on the wall without the door installed and traced around the inside. It would be nice if they included a paper template or something, but this worked out pretty good, tho I need to adjust because it slipped. Poor design. Requires screws into edge of drywall to hold frame in place. Works ok if construction adhesive is used but this is not practical for ceiling install.
