While I would have appreciated the wiring details on a piece of paper, it was easy to find on the item description. Got it wired and verified it worked fine. The remotes are kinda hard to see if you are turning on in full sun, but they work. Long push to start them (light blinks I think when they are turned on?). Another push will turn them off. Since there is no pairing, I have to assume that multiple remotes would work with the same winch which creates the need to be able to disable the remote capability in some instances (I kept my wired “remote”).

I have three sets of these. Work well. However, it east remote batteries like a 3 year eats cookies.. constantly having to replace the batteries. On all of them so it's not a fluke.

I thought I had miswired this for my dump trailer. Before I tore it all apart, I tried the second remote and it worked as I wanted. Guess that’s why it’s cheap.

I'm using this with an albright DC88p-1000 contactor. It's working pretty well, but sometimes it's a little jittery vs using my hardwired switch. The remote design is decent but if you don't add a dedicated control power run (vs tapping at the contactor) then I've seen it cut out more often.

I am using this for a tilt trailer that is power up and power down. I chose this because of the price and the buttons are not labeled in/out like most winch remotes, they have up and down arrows which is perfect for my use. This product will work right out of the package for a tilt or dump trailer that is power up and gravity down but if your trailer is power down you will need to combine the two control wires with diodes for the pump power then split them off before the diodes to control the up/down valves. It's pretty simple but you should know what you are doing before you choose this product for something it was not designed to do. I would imagine this would be perfect for a winch and I could probably come up with more off label uses for it too. You could use it as a remote momentary switch for pretty much anything 12V, possibly with a relay for high current applications. It does not come with instructions. You will need to use the instructions in product photos in the product listing or just figure out what is what with a meter. The place where I bought my trailer wanted $300 for a wireless remote. This was a better buy.
