The other reviews are right, there is not a large variety of pictures. I am happy that my players can refer to the cards for a definition of the items actions/worth, this is the main reason I gave them a five star review. There is only one of each card. This may be fine for armor or weapons, but if you were wanting more than one "Potion Of Healing" your out of luck. Also there are no blank cards to make your own items. Shipped fast, just got them in and only had time to skim through them, but enough to comment on quality. They're very good. Thin, but nice lamination. If they hold up through the games is a test of time, but from what I can tell they look good, well packaged, all of the prints are clean and text is clear. No blemishes. I saw a lot of reviews that stated repetition of pictures or irrelevant pics for the said item. Again, I haven't gone through all of them, but I haven't found anything concerning. I am new to dnd and it's content, so I can see how that is an irritant for more seasoned players that are looking for more custom-like cards, but from a designer's point of view, I understand why some designs repeat. It's the same in video games and an efficient way to create content. I don't find the designs unappealing much less an issue for playing. That's just my opinion and why I gave them 5 stars. Lots of cards and item variety with good descriptions, these will definitely help someone like me who is new to the game to fill my world out!

Fantastic! I really liked these, they are good quality and look good. I do have a few gripes: Firstly some objects and armor have duplicate art, just a basic image. Also I don't like how the box came with the cards in two columns rather than one row. It's fine for first purchase but doesn't work as well for storage. But besides that, good!

Excellent resource for players and DMs alike. The item descriptions are perfectly coherent for experts and newbies and the range is fantastic. I’m considering getting a second set just so I have a stock of duplicates. The cards are laminated, about the quality of your typical playing cards (but smaller, of course) so not exactly difficult to bend or damage if they aren’t taken care of. My only complaint would be that while the art is varied, there are definitely a lot of placeholder images, and many wondrous items are drawn with your typical pile of knickknacks. I would love to see a Series 2 of sorts with another set of magic items, potentially from the community with all the excellent homebrew out there. Cheers.

I've seen reviews on this product and know some of the art is just repeats or not even the actual item but over all, I kinda don't care and can use the similar pictures to my DMing advantage by doing a "Pick A Card" situation to slightly randomize what the players find and I feel that's fun in and of itself for them. As a long time DM I've noticed when a player gets a magic item 1 of 2 things happen, A. the wright it down and remember/use it or B. They wright it down and forget it/never use it. I've been printing home-brew item handouts and notice my players who tend to go the (B) rout referring to the cards and using their items more!, and as I don't want to waste a ton of printer ink and paper printing out all the official items, AND that a players B-day is coming up and he had these on his wish-list, I figured 2 goblins 1 arrow
