The material of this umbrella is definitely sturdy! I loved the button to open and close but you still have to push it down and wrap it closed- came in handy when it was raining heavily while getting in and out of my car… The handle is great too, and yes I clipped it to my purse- handsfree is definitely a win-win!!!! I was concerned with its size and large carabiner handle initially, but overall the umbrella feels light in the hand. The velcro to hold the umbrella is of good quality, and the external cover with a snap button makes it super easy to use. This will be the goto travel umbrella from now on.
