The good: mat is VERY easy to customize to the size you need. It cuts easily with almost any type of scissors. I ordered the charcoal color and it looks very nice in a stainless steel sink. Will easily allow sink drainage. The not so good: it's thinner than expected. I am not sure that it would prevent breakage if a glass was dropped onto it.
