I love this type of mat for the reason you can cut them to fit your sink. My son lives in a small apartment while he is in school and has a very tiny double sink that standard mats do not fit. He is able to cut them down to a smaller size. I use this type of mat and love them even though I do not need to cut them down. They do stiffen as they age, but still look nice.
