Purchase an extended warranty kit (Item 42626) at the same time (on the same receipt) as your Quincy air compressor and it will double the package warranty to 2 years and triple the pump warranty to 3 years (on-site parts and labor included).

This is my second QT 5 hp compressor. I had to sell the first one when I moved across country. This is a well made unit and should last for years. Keep the tank drained, keep up with the preventative maintenance and it will hum. I like that the QT-54 is smooth and quiet. I set it on anti-vibration pads and it doesn't move a a bit. I'll bolt it down as a precaution but it runs so smoothly it's probably not even necessary. Quincy has been around a long time and parts are available! The resale value is very good too. Purchased Quincy air compressor in December 2024. It quit working in May of 2026. It should've lasted much longer than a year and a half. The warranty is non existent. I would not buy it again. Baldor electric motor was the cause of failure in my case. I ordered a new motor and will install it when it arrives. The pressure sensitive on-off switch also failed, probably due to motor overload. I just hope that the pump holds up long enough to make all this trouble worth it. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT OR ANY OTHER QUINCY PRODUCT. ... show more

    • Very surprised with the performance and how quiet this is.
I was very surprised with the performance of this compressor. I use it for a media blast cabinet, my previous top of the line compressors couldn't keep up with it, and would run constantly with the pressure dropping all the time. With this compressor it will keep up and even re-build pressure whilst I work and then switch off when it reaches max. Its also quieter than I expected. I had one of the oilless "ultra quiet" compressors, and this one is just a little louder. ... show more

This was a major purchase for my garage upgrade and I did quite a bit of research. I discovered that many of the older Quincy models are still in use and people love them. It is a shame that most of the big box stores and garage supply outlets don't list them. However, I made the purchase and have not been sorry. It arrived via freight on a pallet and was an easy set up. It has worked wonderfully since purchased. I am soon ready to change the oil in it with the additional oil change kit to keep the warranty in force. It is louder that I expected but it is installed away from the garage so it is not a problem. 4 months out of warranty the motor has failed- I purchased the no bull warranty but the motor is only covered for two years.I have not used this much. light residential.

    • Really nice Compressor.
Over the years I have owned larger Compressors and smaller Compressors, but this one seems to be the best fit for me. At my age now, this will be the last Compressor I will have to purchase. The vertical style I purchased really saves space, as compared to the horizontal types I have had in the past. The convenient moisture drain valve on one of the legs of the tank, means no crawling around underneath to drain accumulated moisture. This unit is also a lot quieter than previous Compressors.
