These aren’t the tastiest bars I’ve had, but they are still my preference (birthday cake flavor). They taste pretty good and have a really nice soft texture. They pack a lot of fiber and protein into a relatively small amount of calories. They’re perfect for filling out your macros while sticking to a strict calorie deficit. NOTE: This is the second of three flavors that I have tried. The review is relatively the same with adjustments made for flavor. I work out 4-5 days per week and often struggle with getting enough protein in my diet. These bars were highly recommended and have turned out to be quite helpful. I have tried several varieties , and these truly taste like birthday cake. They are delicious, creamy, cake-like, and very sweet.. Eaten with a glass of milk they are quite filling; I always feel as if I have had a special treat! I often use them as an afternoon or evening snack and take them with me when I travel. Actually I keep one or two in my car just in case. They are convenient, individually wrapped, and quick and easy. Increasing other sources of protein in my diet, snacking on these bars, and continuing my workout regimen, my muscle mass has continued to develop along with improvement in my strength and stamina (I am over 70 years old). One thing alone has not been responsible, but the overall increase in the amount of protein in my diet has been aided by the addition of these protein bars. The only problem I have with them is keeping my non-exercising husband from eating them! Give them a try; I don't think you will be disappointed. I was addicted to real cake, yellow w buttercream icing. These bars satisfied that urge and I loved them; the taste, the chewy texture, even the look of the bar. Recently had a delivery of what turned out to be what questbar calls better, softer and yummier. They are NOT. (Well, they are softer which is a negative because a chewier bar feels more substantial.) They don't even taste the same, not like birthday cake at all. So disappointed at the change. I can't help but wonder if the real reason for the change was less expensive ingredients and and an opportunity to make the bar smaller yet charge the same price.. Now I have to look for another brand that features this flavor. UPDATE 6/8/23: I refrigerated the bars which makes them chewier. They are still smaller and maybe I have just gotten used to them bit I do like them and will reorder! ... show more

I love, love, love these bars! I've been doing Keto for several months, and every now and again I have a hankering for something sweet. These hit the spot! The protean to fat ratio means you have to compensate by eating something else with more fat, so can't go hog wild with these, but these are the best tasting and closest dietary option out of many I have tried. They don't contain maltitol either which is basically just sugar in disguise. I first discovered these at a gas station. Buying them in a pack like this is about half the cost, but they are still pretty pricey. Birthday Cake is my favorite flavor. Cookies and Cream is also pretty good, but a far 2nd. The other flavors are just meh. A note to the seller: I've ordered the 12ct bar pack from you twice. The first time it with an ice pack that kept the bars nice and cool. However, the most recent pack came without ice and was unfortunately left out in the sun for a few hours, so the bars were all mushy. This is especially an issue with the "frosting" layer on this flavor which essentially liquified and stuck to the wrapper rather than the bar. PLEASE make sure you always ship THIS FLAVOR with an ice pack. I wanted to return the last order, but I just couldn't resist eating them -- they are that good!!! ... show more

These are my favorite protein bars for when I'm in a hurry but need to eat something fast. I like quests ones that are easy to chew, no nuts and crunchy things in them for I have problems chewing and most protein bars have too much too chew.

This bar almost made me give up on Quest protein bars! It was just too sweet for me. Good at first, but after buying a whole box of it, I quickly got tired of the taste. It felt like junk food to me and I like more nutritious foods. I think it's good as a special treat maybe one time, for a birthday lol, but I won't buy it again. Maybe others with a sweet tooth like it. I did come back to Quest and like the Cookies and Cream, that one made me give Quest another chance and I like their other flavors. ... show more
