I have spent the last ten years trying to find a mattress that actually is comfortable. I tried the super name brand guaranteed models all the way down to the old school mattress and box spring models. Nothing seemed to work. I am a bit pickier then most tend to be as over the last 5 years I have had the unfortunate pleasure of having 2 triple spinal fusions as well as a double neck fusion so comfort is a difficult task but a priority. I picked this mattress out of all the mattresses amazon carrys simply because its advertised as having a hard side as well as a soft side. I figured one had to work. It arrived shrunk and rolled with the tool to slit the plastic open and watch it slowly grow. It's recommended to allow to expand 72 hrs however after about 4 hrs I was already at 12 inches. I quit smoking months ago and have a sharp scent , I noticed very very little scent from this one compared to others. Well I first tried the hard side and it's as advertised it's firm ..if your a back sleeper it might be the choice for you. For me it was not as I just couldn't get comfortable with all the hardware in my back. Soooo I flipped it and tried the soft to medium side. I rarely am at a loss for words but after laying down on this side I was speechless. This mattress is an absolute game changer. Unbelievably comfortable for me. I wish I could describe how it feels but support is second to none ..almost like laying on a huge marshmallow. When you lay on your side what ever this foam is it give amazing support to every nook and cranny of your body. Absolutely everything is supported to the max without sinking into the mattress. I don't know if I have had junk mattresses in the past and this is what a mattress is supposed to feel like? Incredible is an understatement it really is. For everyone that asks what the support is like on the edges ? Well when your spine is bolted together that's a huge worry as putting on shoes is difficult as is. Sitting on the edge of the bed and putting on shoes is as supportive as it gets. I wish I could give more kudos to this manufacturer then a simple Amazon review , yes it's that darn comfortable.     • Hands Down The Most Amazing Mattress My Wife and I Have Ever Purchased

Update 8/31/2021 I see why they say the soft side is soft. So after sleeping on it for a while I will say that my initial rating of 8/10 for firmness on the soft side has changed to a 7/10. It actually gets a bit softer after sleeping on it a few weeks. So at first it seems quite the same as the medium side but it gets a bit softer after a while. Still has that pressure relief/back support functionality, but I just wanted to note that soft side is actually softer than it may seem at first. This bed is so amazing, as you'll see from the hundreds of 5-star reviews. Do not be deterred by the tiny amount of negative reviews as almost no product has 100% 5-stars... I have found no faults with it! The description is very straightforward. As it states, it comes with 3 firmness levels, two at the top side and one at the bottom side. My wife and I were experiencing back pains with our previous mattress and were amazed how soon it went away after getting just one night of sleep on this mattress! Kid you not we saw noticeable improvement in just one night. The first nights in months that we've had a really good sleep. The upper top side is soft, not too soft like plush soft, but soft enough to conform to the shape of your body. So if you're looking for a very plushy type soft this is not the mattress for you. This mattress puts body contour and pressure relief above all. The noise isolation springs work perfectly on every side after testing all 3 sides. The medium firm side is just a tad bit firmer than the soft side. You get the same great feeling here as well. If I were to rate both soft and medium firm firmness levels I'd rate the soft side as 8/10 and the medium firm side as 8.5/10. Yes, it's really that firm but amazingly it does not feel like a rock, especially the firm side, but feels so comfortable after laying down on it The firm side I'd rate a 9/10. It is quite firm and is ideal for persons who love their mattress extremely firm or need a very firm mattress based on quality of life. It's not firm in an uncomfortable way though. You feel no springs or any form of discomfort. Just extra firm love :). Again, if you're looking for a very plushy mattress that really does not support spinal alignment and pressure relief then this is not the mattress for you. Did I also forget to mention it supports every type of sleeper? It does! My wife sleeps on her back and I sleep on my side. A 10 year warranty strengthens my belief that this mattress will also last very long, other than the fact that it is well made and feels so durable. One other thing to note is that persons have complained with some of the other sweet night mattresses that the covering had fiber glass shards under it. However, this one does not. It came with the mattress itself covered with a dark grey covering that has a zip making it removable for washing. There were no visible fiber glass shards underneath it at neither the back or front. Guys, this mattress is worth it for the 3 firmness levels you get, the back support, silent coils the removable cover and it does not smell bad. As long as you're comfortable with a mattress that isn't plushy I'd get one of these before the price goes up. After looking at lots of reviews for mattresses on Amazon my husband and I finally decided to take a chance on this one. We were both waking up with back and shoulder pain on our old one and this one didn’t have any negative reviews and seemed to help others sleep better. Unfortunately, we have not had the enjoyment others have had with this mattress. It’s not terrible and seems to be made of great quality, especially for the price. However, even the softer side just is still a too hard for us. The first week we got it, we both were unable to fall asleep and stay asleep. We tossed and turned all night and felt like we were sleeping on the ground even though I did notice it helped with my pressure points. We finally threw on our old memory foam mattress topper on this mattress and are able to sleep again. It seems to add just the right amount of softness we need on this hard bed and we don’t wake up with pains yet. It’s disappointing to have to do that on a new bed. I really wanted to love this mattress but unfortunately it didn’t live up to our expectations and we’re worried it’ll be too much of a haste to send it back. It may be a great night sleep for most but not us. ... show more
