Some reviewers said it’s not firm, well they either got a different mattress or they’re lying. If it were any firmer it’d be close to a sheet of plywood with a cover over it. I’ve slept on futons most of my life & never thought much about mattress firmness/softness but I figured futons are more on the firm side. So when I decided to buy a new bed I chose this one thinking it’d be to my taste. Well, it’s too firm for me especially when I use my wedge pillow which I only use to read or watch TV, and my lower back really doesn’t feel great with my wedge. I don’t have any back problems, but this mattress has so little give that it made that spot on my lower back sore after an hour or 2. Sleeping on it is fine bc I don’t use my wedge to sleep so there’s no big pressure point. In fact I sleep great on it & wake up comfortably. I ordered a topper to bring a little cushiness in. I didn’t get it yet but I think this bed is good quality and the price so reasonable that I didn’t mind spending a little more for a topper. Seems like it will last a long time so even though it’s a bit too firm for me I think it’s perfect for someone looking for a truly firm mattress. UPDATE 2-3 weeks later: I added a 2” gel memory foam topper which oddly made no difference, so I added 2 quilted mattress pads and a cotton quilt, but somehow it all made no difference. Been using this setup for 2-3 weeks and still have lower back pain from laying on it with my wedge pillow. I want a comfortable bed both for sleeping and for relaxing with a book or watching TV, but this mattress has no intention of allowing me to be confortable, especially when laying on my wedge. I’m not sure what the problem is, possibly the springs are just too rigid…possibly just not enough padding on top…? I didn’t even buy the option that says “firm” or “extra firm”, I just bought the 10” full. So whatever the problem is, I finally had to face the fact that it wasn’t going to get better, unless maybe I continued adding more & more layers on top of it, each incurring more cost and making my headboard shorter & shorter. So as much as I might have been thinking to foray into the princess & the pea territory, I finally woke up & realized my ceiling is only 9’ tall so I had better just return it and get another.

I was highly skeptical of this hybrid mattress in a box thing. But after a month, it like like a true steal at this price. It's VERY firm, we ordered the "extra firm", because i was worried it'd be a bit floppy and spongy. But this thing is solid. Still with a bit of isolated spring bounce. Neither of us can feel the other get up or roll over, etc. It's almost exactly 60"x80", so a true queen size. The top layer doesn't retain heat. I don't know if it's truly cooling, but it's definitely not heating up, which is good enough for me. And the top is fairly comfortable, just enough to take the edge off the firmness. Also, i want to add a note here about this hybrid mattress concept, as this is my first, and i read a lot of reviews on a lot of mattresses before buying this. I noticed on this mattress, on all models, and every other one that had enough reviews, some people taking about quick sagging in parts. And i think i know what the issue is. You need to place this mattress on a solid, flat surface. Otherwise the springs will start to "fall" inside the mattress from where they are supposed to be suspended. I'm assuming they'll poke out. We originally placed this on a frame with slats about 4" apart. After just an afternoon, you could already see some springs pushing down farther against the fabric on the bottom of the mattress. So put it on a solid foundation, bunkie board, box spring, the floor, etc. We went and bought some 3/8" pegboard, cut it to 60"x80" to fit the queen frame, and alls good. My only issue is, finding the right mattress topper, because this thing is too firm for me. But that's something i can work out.

Very soft. I have used it a month now and it is soft, comfortable and supportive for 1 person. Anytime i share my bed we roll towards the middle. That is very annoying. Overall well made and came quickly.

Very comfortable and the right amount of firmness for me. Which is firm without being like a rock. The firmness is perfect for my back pain. There was hardly an odor when I unboxed it and it quickly went away. The mattress does kind of unfold quickly once you cut the last bit of plastic keeping it wrapped so be careful and make sure there’s a lot of space. When I made the last cut it shot up like a spring. Bed is very quiet when rolling around and moving on one side doesn’t disturb someone on the other side. I’ve had this mattress for about a month now and it’s as good as I could’ve hoped for. Only complaint is the horizontal cushioning shows through my bedsheet. It’s solely an aesthetic thing. It could be fixed with a quilted or memory foam topper. Very happy with the mattress overall.

The mattress came packaged tightly and was a bit more difficult to get open than others I have purchased. It came with a blade/cutter to open it, but the that ended up breaking and cutting the mattress a little bit. However, once I finally got it unwrapped, it was well worth it. It is easily one of (if not the most) comfortable mattresses I have ever owned. I would definitely buy it again.
