I put this together with my 11 year old. It was easy, directions were clear. Assembly went perfectly. You definitely need a second set of hands for lining up the bed support bars into their spaces. That was probably the only tricky bit. We have had it almost a year and it is great.

The bed is sturdy and the instructions were OK. We ordered for our college student well in advance of the semester. The boxes arrived with visible accordion type damage at the end and had been retaped for shipping. But we were on overly concerned. Unfortunately, we should have been alarmed about the state of the shipping boxes. Upon opening everything, most of the plastic caps were damaged beyond use. One of the desk boards was significantly damaged. And one of the metal components was dented. Our student will start using it next week. I have a nine-year-old boy he’s in love with us that does have so much space for him so he has his little gaming TV area underneath it and then he has a lot of his knickknacks in his little fridge. It’s easier for him to get up onto the bed with the stairs and it is a ladder. He does not like ladders and it has a little bit of the closet space which is great for him because he’s able to hang so if it’s that stuff in there, there’s just so much space on it yet. We've had this for year , my son is 14 170lbs 5'6 , and has no complaints bed doesn't move much he has a gaming set up underneath its great , Looking at the other reviews we got lucky , we had no issues building it my son and brother in law built it in like 3-4 hours
