This is a fine reel for this price range. Casts good , smoothe retrieve but with one design flaw. release button protrudes too far out from tiny frame. Can't get a good grip on it without the heel of my palm hitting button and disengaging gears!

This reel is awesome at casts extra smooth and it goes a country mile, absolutely love this damn real : after a couple of months of fishing 🎣 with this reel the casting lever wont re-engage when I start reeling back in. I have to manually pop it back up and has cost me what I believe would have been my pb largemouths, I have 7 reels 5 baitcasting reels 2 spinning reels so that reel has been used a whole heck of a lot. I did purchase a 2 yr warranty just in case I hope 🙏 it will replace my reel. ★Update★ Well I tried several tiimes to get ahold of the company that hold the warranty on the reel I purchased, but never actually spoke to anybody so I never got my reel replaced , fixed or even a calll back from them so I'm going to change my rating to a 3. and recommend that people to skip the insurance part because they dont help you at all. ... show more
