I really like this net for lifting fishes at piers. It is big enough to get most of the larger fishes out of the water. The rubberized netting is not only useful for hooks but also for stingray barbs. They can still get entangled in the net, but the rubber makes it much easier to remove, and when you are dealing with sting rays it helps a lot. Other reviews mention that the carrying bag is too small, but I actually have plenty of room in mine. It does take a little bit of technique to fold the net rings, but this is not much different than with instant pop up tents. There is a little bait bag in the middle and I've used that to put a 4oz lead to help the net sink faster. I have not been able to catch bait fish with this, but it works well for landing the bigger catches. ... show more

Bought this to go crabbing with my grandkids. It didn’t work out to good. We were on a pier and the tide kept pulling it out instead of it going straight down. Tried putting a rock in it and still didn’t work.
