Lifted a 40lb carp up with this thing. It handle it like a champ, bent it up some but you can easily get it back in shape. I can’t figure out how to twist it up like a bandsaw blade so I just fold it up and cram it in the bag. Works every time without issue. Great net

I have a 40 gallon breeder fish tank, and wanted to make it a native tank where I stock only fish I catch in nearby lakes. This has been a great purchase, it has paid for itself many times over with the number of fish (and plants) I've pulled up in it. I did replace the rope with something more durable, but it still worked fine with the original rope. It cleans up well, is light and easy to throw, and feels very durable. I've thrown this net out probably 100-150 times and it still looks brand new. Even when I pull the net back to shore and it's full of heavy mud, it never feels like it's going to suffer any damage or break. If it ever does wear out I'd definitely buy another one, for the cost it's well worth it. ... show more

So far I love it I haven’t used it yet but I can see the quality it’s made out of compared to regular stringed baskets too bring up fish it even comes with a sleeve of you wanted to try to catch crabs. folding it putting it away will take a couple of try’s to get it right. MUCH better than my old net which tore after just a few uses. I love the rubberized mesh which is better for handling fish that I will release. I dinged it one star because it doesn't hold its shape well (you have to re-form the circle shape every time), is a bear to get back into its storage bag, and the included line is too thin to comfortable hoist a net full of fish (or 1 big one). You will want to replace it with a thicker line. This net is worth the money though. ... show more

I really like this net for lifting fishes at piers. It is big enough to get most of the larger fishes out of the water. The rubberized netting is not only useful for hooks but also for stingray barbs. They can still get entangled in the net, but the rubber makes it much easier to remove, and when you are dealing with sting rays it helps a lot. Other reviews mention that the carrying bag is too small, but I actually have plenty of room in mine. It does take a little bit of technique to fold the net rings, but this is not much different than with instant pop up tents. There is a little bait bag in the middle and I've used that to put a 4oz lead to help the net sink faster. I have not been able to catch bait fish with this, but it works well for landing the bigger catches. ... show more

Awesome bet very sturdy took it out to pacifica pier dropped in water pulled back up bait bag was gone, whatever no worries tried a second time, threw over not in the the water rope snapped lost the net. So many different factors that could have been the issue. First time crabbing wasnt best experience none the less net didn't break just everything else. My advice if you purchase this item buy or add on additional bait support and a more sturdier rope ... show more
