I really like these and they are easy to use. I like that you can add your oil and a separate place to add vinegar to attract. Once filled you can close the top and don't have to worry about spilling when putting them in or taking them out. For the price, you can just throw them away and add a new one as needed.

These are so easy to use. I didn't realize at first that you can open them. I knew it said reusable. My husband just opened it right up the 2nd time I put them in. I've been using Mineral Oil in them, as it is not supposed to go rancid like other oils. They are effective, if the beetles just go into them. I don't know if anything will entice the beetles more. Need to check that. One was crowded with them though. Some just had a few. The hives aren't beside each other, though.

They do trap beetles

These are great oil traps for hive beetles. I have used these for years. The bees will use propolis to close off the slits, so you will have to stay on top of that. Don't overfill with too much oil, as hive beetles will manage to get out.

Catches Small Hive Beetles

These work great. I use diatomaceous earth 1/3 full, wiping off well with a damp cloth before putting in opposite sides of the hive brood box. I am able to clean out and reuse these.
