abunda_amazon_reviews This review is for the QG-TM-002-BLK ultra slim mount. I have previously used the Sanus BLL2-B1 on my last TV install and thought I would try this QualGear mount since it is less expensive and lower profile. Here are the pros and cons: PROS: * QualGear QG-TM-002-BLK is lower profile on paper (0.4" vs 0.7") * QualGear QG-TM-002-BLK uses metal for the latches (where as sanus uses plastic which can break) * QualGear QG-TM-002-BLK is less than half the price of the Sanus model CONS: * QualGear QG-TM-002-BLK actual profile is going to depend on how level your wall is. In my case the final TV install was 0.6" from the wall * QualGear QG-TM-002-BLK does not include as many TV bolt options as Sanus. I had to purchase the proper size for my TV separately since QualGear's shortest bolts were too long. * With the QualGear QG-TM-002-BLK I had to attach my cables to the TV before mounting, it would have been nearly impossible to install them after. Sanus includes a kickstand which makes it easy to mount the cables after you hang the TV. * The QualGear QG-TM-002-BLK requires you to pull both strings at the same time to attach the TV. Sanus mount just clicks. It's difficult to tell whether the QualGear actually attaches properly. * The QualGear QG-TM-002-BLK doesn't seem to hang my TV at 90". The bottom of the TV sticks out slightly farther from the wall then the top. Cables are not an issue in my case so this could be warped drywall.;;March 17, 2018;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;QualGear QG-TM-002-BLK vs Sanus BLL2-B1 Super Slim Mount;;Bill;;;I purchased this for my 65" LG OLED TV and while it keeps it nice and snug with the wall, it's actually a bit too snug. You need special cables that have 90 degree connections if you plan to plug anything into the back. Not only that but your cables have to come from the side, in other words you can't hide them 100% because there isn't even a cable width of space between the back of the TV and the wall. Possibly if you had very thin ribbon cables it could work. The other solution we came up with is to cut channels into the drywall to run cables through. Obviously you have no easy access to any of these cables or additional plugs once mounted, so beware of this if you need to plug a USB, or an HDMI that isn't already plugged in, you will probably need to unmount the TV from the wall. I don't think it's terribly hard to do this, but then you have to put the TV somewhere, etc. 2 man job... Just keep all this in mind when purchasing, it's very thin so plan accordingly and if that works for you then this will be perfect as it's the thinnest I was able to find after hours of searching.;;December 25, 2018;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Good product, did not work well with my 65" LG OLED (details in review);;Michael L. StHilaire;;;This was a great purchase. I have some TV installation experience but I feel that any novice would be able to handle this. I was able to do it without any assistance at all. I have to admit, I was somewhat apprehensive about using a "wire" to hang my 46" Samsung. But after installing it, I have no doubt at all that it is securely fastened to the wall. I am also very impressed with the fact the installation does very minor cosmetic damage to the wall behind the TV. It only take 2 holes. In fact, I hung mine a little too low and needed to raise it 6" after I was finished. The holes that remained are still well hidden but I will have no problem filling them (when and if I move the TV) with basic putty and paint. The kick stands provide plenty of clearance to make your connections after its hung. I will be using this again if I ever hang another TV.;;April 6, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Perfect Mount for Low Profile, Slim-line Installation;;David B;;;Well, I read ALL the reviews on this fixed mount QG-TM 002. Some were ok, some were bad. Some had good points. Some were dumb. I was mainly concerned about pushing the limits of the mount. It says it’s rated up to 70” television, 88lbs. Well my tv is 75” and only 78lbs. Not sure why the size matters? But I’m my opinion I have 10lbs to play with. The mount seems sturdy enough to hold my tv. I made sure I am in studs near the hooks. I also put a couple of extra drywall mounts on to make sure it’s extra secure. After it was hung I put all my body weight on it (175lbs). It is secure. The level that came with the kit was WAY off!! Do not trust it. I recommend a long level that will reach both ends. Also I read reviews about not getting this mount level at all, so I also made sure the hooks mounted to the tv were mounted level by using a line on the tv to measure from. I’m glad I did because they were 1/4” off. So after all was mounted and leveled the next obstacle was making sure the cords would line up with the hole I had to cut below the mount on wall. I used gorilla duct tape to hold them in place for the lift. This was kind of a pain and the reason I gave 3 stars. If I had to do it again I would have got a mount that is closer to 1” off wall. Maybe I should give it a better rating since that’s my own fault. The lift took 3 people since the tv was so large. Two to lift and one to pull cords as it goes up. It was hard to see if the hooks were on. I don’t know if the bottom lock/latches are locked. Took some jiggling and careful pulls (don’t break the tiny string or your screwed) but I think they are locked. I’m not too worried about it though. The tv is not going anywhere. I hope this helps someone decide or gives them some pointers on how to mount super tight to wall. Hindsight I wouldn’t do it again. I does look good though. Haha;;August 1, 2019;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;Does the job BUT;;'standard;;;I'm a big fan of these mounts, I have bought 3 of them in all. One is mounted with big drywall screws I bought from Home Depot, and the other two are screwed with the included masonry screws. On a drywall, they are easily strong enough to support a 60" Samsung LCD TV (your mileage may vary, be careful!). On masonry, I think you could probably hang off them yourself, they are so strong. They work really well with a thin TV, like the Samsung 8000 series - they sit flush against the wall, even when looking at it from the side. Obviously you get no pan and tilt, but you can adjust the TV so it sits horizontal. Anyhow they are easy to install and look great, and at this price they come recommended!;;March 18, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;they are easily strong enough to support a 60" Samsung LCD TV ...;;John Appleby
