This has been a successful transition from a Metal Colander to a Collapsible one with a wide range of functionality that saves space in the closet. It's very easy to clean as a result of the product being collapsible, thrown in the dishwasher for good measure then stored for use all over again. The Developers were very generous with this product and the wide range of use. If you lack sufficient storage for your mother’s big colander, this is for you. The expandable basin flattens out to allow for storage almost anywhere. Drains well. The expandable handles let you go hands free and leave a large enough gap so that your pasta isn’t getting any “backwash” from sitting on the sink floor. Well made. Zero complaints on this one.

I love this colander, especially with the expandable handles. My sink is wider than the colander is long, but with the expandable handles, that's not a problem. No worries about draining my pasta on spaghetti night, no more noodles spilling over the sides from the colander tipping over.

I have a large porcelain kitchen sink where the telescoping arms do rest on the edges but there's too much of a chance for slipping. I just wish the underside of the telescoping arms were heavily non-slip (versus slightly non-slip) so I don't have to hold the colander with one hand to keep it against the front of my sink while trying to figure out how hold\tip over my larger pots into it (when doing spaghetti). Otherwise, it's a well crafted colander for normal use and with smaller pots\dishes (like Mac & Cheese). Better non-slip would have gotten the 5th star from me.

I’ve been using the Qimh Collapsible Colander for a while now, and it’s a great replacement for one I had for about 10 years before it finally broke. The sound quality is solid with a smooth rinse and efficient drainage, perfect for washing veggies or straining pasta.
