I use a very old pair of high quality Klein crimping pliers that have served me well over the decades. Issues with these connectors: 1. Size of the connector is larger than standard, meaning the smallest connectors (pink 16GA-22GA) were unable to hold 18GA wire or smaller. Similar experience with all the connector sizes. 2. The internal metal portion that gets crimped is not quite 1/8th inch. Not nearly enough material to securely hold a crimp. 3. All metal is very thin 4. Not a deal breaker but annoying, the clips on the box broke off after just a couple of open/closes. I was so disappointed that I just threw them all away. Not worth my time to return. ... show more

The butt connectors where the only things that had enough crimping surface to actually hold!! Everything else the crimping area was to small to hold wires effectively and making for a week connection. Expect to waste most if not all of the connectors except the butt connectors!!! Update all most every connectors used in my build has failed!! Causing blown circuits!! Very poor quality product!! I will not be doing any purchasing from this company again!!! ... show more

    • Nice assortment of terminals but terrible to work with

I bought these because i wanted a nice assortment of ring terminals, and I did get that. The issue is with crimping them. Because they are heat shrink and not the hard plastic like normal connectors, normal crimps do not work. I tried ratcheting and even manual ones and none worked properly. I had to use the bottom of my crimps that was just flat and do it that way. They do sell a their own crimping tool for these specific heat shrink terminals, save yourself the hassle and just don't bother. They don't work any better. I have mainly been working with the red 16-22 gauge ones, and none of them would hold a 20 gauge wire. I also tried using one of the blue ones just to see if it would crimp properly but it also would leave a big gap. The tool is going back, ill keep these and either use my vise to crimp them of something else, but will not be buying anymore ... show more

A disappointing and potentially dangerous product. This product is not at all waterproof! Do not use for boat, RV, or automotive applications! The heat shrink does not cover the conector allowing water to enter the wire easily. It is a small hole, but it's on every conector except the but splice. Waisted time and money on inappropriate boat conectors. For INDOOR use only! False advertising and an inferior product ☹ ... show more

The only way anyone gives these more than 1 star is they have no clue what these should actually do. 1. The gauge size is laughable. The proper sizing doesn't fit the actual wire. I use high end crimpers (important tool. A cheap harbor freight might work but you'd be amazed at what a pricier crimper can do. A cheap one has room for error) I actually had to use "pink" for wire that would be on the LARGE end of the blue just to get it to hold. 2. The shrink is too large. When I had the smallest wires I was able to crimp the heck out of it to get it to pinch. Then comes the shrink. Riiiiiiiiight. Not even close. Left the wires wide open thus defeating the purpose of heat shrink. 3. The crimper would actually cut into the plastic. Everything that could be wrong with these was wrong. I threw away about 10 pieces before I gave up. Had to re wire some wires on my boat stereo. I'm returning this with missing pieces and half pieces. I don't care that I used it. This product is so incredibly awful and useless. I'd go even as far enough to claim safety issues. Corrosion leads to smaller gauge . Smaller gauge leads to heat due to amps. Then you have melting and spark. Sparks near a gas tank in a hull? Leave that up to you. ... show more

I used these connectors for wiring up accessory switches in my 05 suburban Z71. They were fantastic and easy to use as expected. Accurate sizing, easy to crimp and strong, the heat shrink seals everything up perfectly. A+ will buy more as needed.

Never used shrink wrap wire connectors before and now I'm hooked. I like how the seal gives an extra support as well as waterproofs the connection. I used a lighter to shrink everything. I didn't get much scorching and nothing melted using a lighter. I tried using a heat gun but it seemed to not offer as much control and heated everything up in an uncomfortable way. So use a lighter I say. Oh, Also there does seem to be a little problem with the way wire slides into the connectors. The shrink wrap and even some of the metal circles are smaller than their gauging. I actually had to cut the shrink wrap off and spread the metal ring open to fit some applications. I was able to rewrap the connection and everything worked fine once modified a little. ... show more

What can I say its a terminal connector, they are pretty hard to screw up. I could knock it 1 star because 2 of the blue connectors were in the yellow bin when it showed up but unlike most reviews on amazon I understand that is not the connectors fault. But the shrink wrap does add a little razzle dazzle to it and pretty much the only reason whey I bought these. They did the job that I was hoping they did and we will leave it at that. ... show more
