We've only had it a few days, so I'll try to come back and update later if anything changes, but so far this drone is great, especially for the price (I paid around $35 in 2023). It is so easy to fly and do tricks. Both my 9 year old and 6 year old learned and mastered all the features within a couple of hours. We've flown it indoors and outdoors for many hours a day several days in a row now. As others said, the battery life is not great. A battery lasts maybe 10 - 15 minutes, and does take a long time (more than an hour) to charge. But I bought 2 more backups on Amazon, so we get a solid hour or more of play before we're completely out of batteries. It's already withstood several crashes into trees and book shelves too. Seems very sturdy. At one point it got hung very high on a tree branch and we had to climb a ladder and knock it down with a long pole. Not a scratch! I also love that you don't need a cell phone or app at all. Completely self contained. All in all this was a great purchase so far.

I purchased this drone for my four-year-old, and it has exceeded our expectations! It’s incredibly user-friendly, making it perfect for beginners. My child found it easy to operate right away. The drone is quite durable, too, withstanding bumps and crashes without any damage. It comes with some fun features, including cool lights and the ability to perform tricks like flips and spins, which adds to the excitement. One thing to note is that the battery life is short, about 5-10 minutes, so I recommend ordering extra batteries. The drone is also very lightweight, which means it can be affected by the wind. It’s best used indoors or on calm days outdoors. Overall, this drone is a fantastic product, especially for young enthusiasts. We’re very pleased with our purchase!

This is a 100% keeper when it comes to low cost drones. I'm not a kid or a beginner, but it is a joy to fly. Great for dusk / dark backyard flying as it is highly visible. In the second and third flight modes, it will handle a decent breeze without any problems. One really good thing is that if you fly it out of radio range, it shuts itself off after maybe 2 seconds, so the chances of losing it are minimized. It also has a good range anyway. I may get another one of these as an experimental platform and add a tiny 5.8 ghz fpv camera to it. The gear driven props provide quiet, efficient power. It comes with a full set of props, two batteries and a charger. Flight times are good. Just a note to beginners, charge times are quite long with the little usb charger, so a small investment in a "real" charger that can charge multiple batteries at once, and quicker would be a good idea. The batteries are quite affordable as well if you want more. Just be aware that brushed motors in drones like this do not need to be flown for an extended time without a cool down period, or you will be replacing motors. Fly a battery or two, and let it rest for a few minutes. It would be pretty hard to beat this little drone for the cost. There is also a carrying case available for it here on Amazon, which is nice to have. I like to carry something to fly along on camping and vacation trips, and this is a great choice for that.

My girls really enjoy this, fairly simple to understand and use. Our batteries last a max of 10 minutes for a charge out of the box though. So we can't even take this to an open field somewhere since we'll get only 20 minutes with the two batteries that were included, really a bummer. Within the first two days we've already lost the capacity to use the trick button- 3d flips don't work anymore. Otherwise seems to be hanging in there.

Update to my review. We did have a propeller break the first day we used it but have not had one break since then. We have flown it many times indoors and outdoors, and it does great. It's really easy for my 5 year old to control, and my husband loves flying it as well. The batteries don't last very long, but it came with two, so we get to fly it for about 15-20 minutes. The batteries do charge pretty quickly. Old review: This drone is easy to operate and great for young kids, but a propeller broke the first day we used it. It doesn’t seem very durable. Luckily, it comes with replacement propellers, but I have a feeling we’re going to need a bunch.

This flew away on first flight and could not be controlled. Gone, never to be seen again. There was nothing we could push on the remote to gain control. As soon as we turned it on it flew far into the sky and away. I contacted the company for help as directed by Amazon and they have done nothing. It’s been 2 months of sending emails with no actual help or action. Drone was defective, was for my son’s birthday and his gift was ruined. Do NOT buy this.
