Very nice, definitely recommend. It has adjustments for gain, bass equalizer, high pass, low pass, and full range. Was delighted to see so many options when all I was expecting was a gain knob. I don't now why everyone here is bashing its output because mine most definitely puts out full power. I'm running a 4ohm Boss Phantom 800w and I actually have to put the amp at half power or the sub is overpowered. This is also because the sub isn't amazing but it does the job. Anyways, when I first got the sub, I didn't have this amp, instead I had a little 300w mini amp and when I hooked it up, the sub barely moved. With this Pyramid amp, it almost hurts my ears! So ya, all these people saying it doesn't put out true 1000 watts got something defective because mine sure does. Update 6/15/14 - I've upgraded my system to two 12" Kicker 300w 4ohms subs one per channel(not even bridged), and I have the gain at about 3/4 and I can still overpower the subs. And this is saying something because while Boss tends to overrate their products, Kicker does not and they build their products very well. If I can overpower these two 300w 12's with this amp, then obviously this amp doesn't put out no measly 150w per channel. ... show more

I have this powering 2 6x8 in the rear of my Ford Ranger. Got the gain set to less then half and range set to full. So far it sound good and its not 2 hot. I can touch he heat sinks without it burning my hand. My Jensen amp finally died after 20yrs. So sad. I needed a amp with RCA pass thru and the wiring layout was the same as my old amp so the install was super easy for me. I bought the 3 year warranty which I hope to never use. Not sure I'd recommend this for a SUB. Seems under powered for a SUB and No External Variable Bass Boost knob which I think is a must. I have a separate amp for my 12in sub. I'm using the rear radio outs for 2 passive tweeters. Once you get a full range system you'll wonder how you ever listened to an all base system. ... show more

no it is not 1000 watts. the manual states 55 watts rms at 4 ohms, but it puts out 110 per channel in reality. great for low powered subs. im running two 8 inch bose 301 series 2 (yes home speakers) and two 6.5 inch lanzar maxp64s, wired in parallel at 2.67 ohms. it sounds fantastic!it sounds like i have two 12inch subs!! worth the 50 bucks i spent!! ... show more

I was told that this fit my car by amazon but it didn’t when I took it to 2 dealerships I was told I have the wrong amp and they tried to charge me around $400 something dollars to purchase a amp from them don’t waste your time .

Very pleased and very strong amp still going strong to push my competition 10 pioneer subs excellent product brings me back to old school anyone who's having probs with this amp just don't know how to work it or hook it up Im pushing a 10 in pioneer comp sub 1800 watts with it easily sounds great mines lasted over 2 yrs still going just ordered a second one very pleased thanks again pyramid sounds great in my mustang very pleased out does my planet audio 1000 watt amp so everyone else must be hooking it up wrong or simply are first time learner's on systems and how they work ... show more
