This speaker is ideal for traveling because of how small it is. We take it to the lake with us because it's portable and weatherproof. I enjoy that it has a long battery life so I don't have to fiddle with cords or search for a plug. It keeps going strong for 8 straight hours, so I can rely on it to last almost the entire day spent by the pool. It doesn't require much space, but it sure provides a lot of volume. The sound quality is excellent; it is crisp and clear. I like that even though my phone may be kept safely away from the water, the speaker can still quickly and effortlessly establish a Bluetooth connection. Initial review - sound quality, for my ears - on this $70 BT Speaker is Incredible. After my second Sony SRS-XB23 bit the dust in less than a year went on what seemed like a fruitless search for a decent BT stereo speaker/setup. I say setup because I was pairing dual speakers for a stereo sound. The UE Booms were not to my liking - too much treble and I like fuller, richer sound. Came across this in the search results, read the reviews and the price fit the bill so figured I'd try it since I had already wasted $$$$ on what were supposed to be the top quality ones. Note - pairing dual speakers on ANY brand even the most expensive ones is torture, Even if you get it to work you will repeatedly have to get it to work on at least a weekly basis. So a single stereo speaker it became and I purchase the Pyle and honestly I was shocked. This speaker has a beautiful sound straight out of the box. So great that I had to write a review to comment on it. Better than my "dead-to-me" SRS-XB23s (I had purchased 2x's as this was the best sound profile for my ears 'til now). It comes with a basic EQ on the remote which admittedly I'm still figuring out - some buttons respond and others not - so I gave the remote a 3 for now and will update. The Volume can also go up really Loud and note the size is large but I'm amazed that a legacy brand - usually decent to very good - manufactures and sells this and at this price point - Wow. This is day one so fingers crossed in a week/month/year I'm still singing it's praises. FYI I purchased one with manual controls but there is a remote only version as well that I chose NOT to buy (note my remote comment above) - because remotes 😏. *UPDATE* Make sure you have direct line of sight to Bluetooth or s strong antenna as connection may drop every 40-60 minutes. This speaker has been great for use at our meetups. You can adjust the microphone volume separate from the music volume so you can always hear someone speaking even over the music. We also used it for Halloween as it has a voice changing effect. The kids loved it. Budget friendly for sure, but there are several things I don’t like about the speaker. It gets loud but even when you turn the bass up it doesn’t make a difference. So it’s just loud! When charging this speaker during karaoke while in use it kept shutting off. That really ruined karaoke for me with my family smh. The battery once it’s charged it’s okay doesn’t last long. I also hate how every time it’s connected to the Bluetooth, It says Bluetooth is connected super loud and makes a notification sound. Also the microphone that comes with it sucks! I’m going to order a different one. If you are purchasing this, just to listen to music, I would recommend other than that for karaoke use, etc. I would purchase something better. ... show more
