Pros: Good-loud sound, DJ style light up buttons is nice. Distance from speaker is about 20ft before it starts to break up. It is easy to connect phones no issues with blue tooth. Nice color RGB speaker display. Remote is a plus. Cons: Difficult key combinations to switch from phone to radio or adjust sound. When the speaker starts up it starts at MAX volume no matter what setting you set it to and then power off. It will always start at MAX volume. When you turn down the volume and then attempt to use the DJ buttons volume control doesn’t adjust it. Those appear to be at max volume no matter what volume you choose. And again when powering off the speaker it does not power off at the low volume setting. It’s always max volume. I am very happy with my Pyle purchase and would recommend it to others. I would have given it a five-star rating if I hadn’t had to return the first one. After unpacking the Wireless Portable Bluetooth Boombox Speaker - 600W Rechargeable Boom Box Speaker - Pyle PPHP265DJB; I discovered all of the media connectors on the top of the boombox were non-existent. Only the openings were there. The shipping and manufacture’s box was in perfect condition so it didn’t look like the item was abused during shipping. In case it was a matter of snapping the media and power panel back in place and saving the hassle of returning it, I decided to open the access panel and check it out. Once open, I saw that the large rechargeable battery had come loose, broke the media fixture, and pushed the whole circuit board and ports back into the body of the boombox. After seeing that it was actually broken, I contacted Amazon and ordered a replacement. There may have been some G-forces involved that caused the battery to break loose during shipping. The replacement boombox arrived with everything in place. I charged the unit up and tried all the media inputs. The sound is clear and crisp and can also be very loud. The box is well constructed and heavy duty. After a couple weeks of use, I opened the access panel and had a look at battery and how it was being secured. The band holding it in place was dead center on the battery and seemed wider than the one on the first unit I received. ... show more

I took everything out of the box and tried the speaker out and it cut off after a few minutes. I figured the battery may be low so I recharged it and it showed that it was full. I then tried it again and it again cut off after one or two minutes. Sometimes it would just power up and then shut itself off. I think the battery was detective. I had to give it one star because I couldn't really use it, so I really can't tell you how it sounded or if any of the features worked. I sent it back and got a refund. I was pretty disappointed because it did get fairly decent reviews overall and the one I had couldn't even hold a charge. I may get another speaker similar to this one that has basically the same features. It will probably be a different brand. ... show more
