  • Does what it's supposed to at a great price.
Style: Basic Feature
Works great right out of the box. Using it to drive a set of 10" 3-way speakers. I seriously doubt it peaks at 200 watts, but it easily fills the room with good sound. Plenty of overhead ithout distortion. It would be even better with a bass driver output. Bluetooth works fine. Tuner is good, but its a little cumbersome to tune with the remote, but I seldom need to. At the price, why not? I'm strongly tempted to get another for a patio system. ... show more

  • Highly recommend this affordable little gem.
Style: Basic Feature
Awesome little receiver. Paired it with an old set of Bose bookshelf speakers and it fills my garage with sound. Bluetooth works well and am able to stream Apple Music songs from my phone. Hooked my iPod classic to the RCA inputs and that was great also. FM radio auto tunes to the strongest stations and keeps them in memory...just hit forward or reverse buttons to changes stations. Haven't tried USB or SD card inputs yet, but would be surprised if they didn't work. ... show more

  • Good value, great sound, but not 200W output
Style: Basic Feature
Compact and effective. This downright tiny system allows me to power a pair of speakers that I've had for more than 30 years, without the possibility of damage to the speakers. The PYLE model PDA29BU is perfect for my home office, delivering more than enough volume with good quality sound, although it seems to have a much lower output than the 200W claimed. The system appears to also be suitable for use with 12V power from a vehicle or power supply. Both the 12V 5A input and the 1A fuse on the 120V input cause me to question the 200W claim. The total power for the system can't be more than 60W, calculating max 12V power use (12V x 5A), and a 1A fuse will fail if power goes over 120W (more than 1A). At the same time, this prevents me from over-driving and damaging my antique speakers. I stream music using my mobile phone and I like that the bluetooth function naturally pauses any music when I make or receive phone calls. This makes it possible to enjoy having music playing for much of the work day without needing to specifically turn the music down or off when I receive a call. The PYLE PDA29BU is a great value and streams good quality music using a pair of bookshelf speakers. I'd buy it again. ... show more

  • Fantastic Find!
Style: Basic Feature
I couldn't be more pleased with this. I connected to Cerwin Vega 8ohm speakers from the late 90s and everything sounds spectacular. Bluetooth works great and was easy to setup and connect. Radio works well too. 5 stars!. Can't believe I can buy this for less than $30!!!

  • Good sound, great price point.
Style: Basic Feature
Being familiar with Pyle products from years ago, I figured the claimed "200 watts" was probably not going to be accurate. That being said, I kept an open mind when I purchased this little amp for my garage. I had been using an older 40 watt JVC bookshelf stereo set that still sounded good, but didn't have Bluetooth. All I really wanted from this amp was to be able to stream music from my phone. Hooked it all up and was very pleasantly surprised. It pushed the 40 watt speakers perfectly with surprisingly good sound. No hiss or clipping like other reviews have stated. Decent bass. As an experiment I hooked up some larger 200 watt Sony passive speakers from my old home theater system and it sounded horrible. Very tinny and not very loud. So being realistic with what you are working with, this amp is perfect for a garage or workshop if you use speakers it can handle. Connected to Bluetooth flawlessly. I did not try the FM stereo or the aux. As an aside, I made sure my phone volume was all the way up before I turned the volume up on the amp. This may alleviate some of the issues other users are reporting. The treble and bass knobs let you dial the sound in to suit your preference. Very happy so far with my purchase. ... show more

  • It's a Pyle all right, but they spelled "Pyle" wrong!!! It's really a pile!!!
Style: Basic Feature
Getting to the punch line right up front. I'm going to try to return this thing. I'm very frustrated. I feel like they should actually pay me for the time I invested in unboxing, hooking up and trying this thing! But, if I am being fair, if I had gone and read some of the negative reviews, (which call out exact complaints I have experienced), I would probably have moved on to a different choice. So, in the ugliest sense, I own a little bit of this because I should have done a little bit more homework. Noticeable backround noise starts when you turn on the power switch, even with no program content, volume at any setting (0 - 100 %). As far as how loud this noise is: Not as loud as normal conversation. About the same level as you might want your music if you just wanted to hear it but want to not wake up anyone else in the house, or be able to easily talk over it. Maybe the level an quality/character of a running clothes dryer 5 feet away from you (complete with the higher/lower events from clothes rolling around inside the drum). So that's the noise issue. The second one is that the remote functionality is horrible. it's hit/miss and I am pointing the remote directly at the machine with my arm stretched out at it. Remote winds up being maybe 5 feet from the unit, and still does not consistently work. Finally, if you plan to use FM feature, and you think you're going to want to move between stations, then pack your patience. It is a PITA (pain in the ...). For me, it was a "don't care" because my only use case for this thing was going to be BT streaming for music in my study while I work. Really, the only things I like about this are the concept (which is why I purchased it). The small size, BT connectivity (with FM for very occasional local news or music if internet went down) and quoted power all that I needed for this thing to do. If only it could have actually done that. What application would be OK for this? Well, if you're going to "set it and forget it", picking a station or BT source once per day and let it run in an environment where you have a decent amount of base background noise (a store, a workshop with machinery running), then this unit, at this price point, might be able to work for you. It certainly doesn't work in my home study where there is no background noise, the desired music volume might be low, and the ability to easily change setting with remote is important. ... show more
