  • Pyle-Pro Pwma200 wireless microphone system/Prolific, Professional, Product!
Although I did not agree with the arrival time period, the product itself is awesome. I could not wait to get it and test it out. When it arrived I tore open the box right away and started setting it up, I became a little perturbed because I could not get it to power up and nothing but a red light showed up. Well it helped a lot when I read the instructions, Everything was zip, zip, zip once I understood from the instructions that the power button was on the side and the red light was to show it was charging.(ha ha) the laughs on me. Overall this item to me is fantastic and it works excellently, where else could you find an amp with not 1, not 2, but 3 microphones (Hand held, Headset & clip on) at the price listed, this is great. In 2 months I will be using this systems for a speaking engagement and at this affair I will be also using it to sing. I have been using it almost daily to practice and prepare for the upcoming event. I feel like it gives amateur me star quality and status. Oh did I mention that the amp also has FM radio? All I have to say is this is a good one and I highly recommend this system, that's my opinion and you won't be disappointed. Enjoy! ... show more

  • Wireless mikes had shorts in them
The first one arrived with the mike that you put on your head shorting out which is the one that we wanted to use. You also had to have the mike extremely close to your mouth for it to pick up the sound, and the wire that connected the mike didn't keep it's shape so continually had to be reorganized to make it close enough to the mouth. Returned it which they paid for and sent me another one that the mike that clipped on to your shirt had a short. Also the mike that clipped on was extremely difficult to use for an older person with arthritis. The one with the first set was so tight that I was unable to even try it because I couldn't get the clip open. The second one wasn't quite so tight and I was able to try it. Gave up on the system, and just have to shout instead at this point. Was hoping to be able to communicate with my husband who is partially deaf across the room, but had to send the second one back too. The actual system for transmitting your voice was great as long as you didn't touch your mike when the PA part was on because then it amplified that sound too. The other mike with the cord would have worked if that was what we had wanted it for, but we needed to have the PA part across the room from where I was using the mike. So, if you were in a situation where you could use the mike that was connected to the PA system part, then it would probably work for you. If you wanted to use the wireless part, we found that those mikes that were included with the system were of poor quality and the frustration of having a mike work and then not work, was not going to work at all for us. ... show more

  • Little Wonder
Weighs less than 10 lb. Packed it in check-in suitcase using the box styrofoam, with plenty of room left over for my clothes, etc. Flew to Japan and visited 6 cities. I was a bit worried at first about the quality, but it performed flawlessly at all seminars and singing events, including some outdoor events where there was no available electricity and so used the PA's internal battery. It had almost zero feedback problems, just don't put the PA next to the guy wearing the mic. Once when an in-house PA system started to give us problems, we turned this unit on and it saved the day. (BTW, Japanese house current is only 100v, but enough to recharge this unit. Plug prong is also compatible, like U.S.) Customs inspectors in Japan wanted to know what it was; they x-rayed it, then cleared it no problem. Wireless mic was fine, great range. The mic won't pick up sounds from the side, you have to aim it at your mouth, which is different from more expensive units. Had to seriously bend the metal microphone boom to aim the microphone directly toward my mouth, but once positioned, it was great! 3 hours per 9v battery is accurate. Switch has 3 positions: off, standby, and live. Don't expect the included hand-held mic to be wireless as well, even though it is advertised that way. That mic comes with a cable, and no battery compartment. But it works fine as a wired mic. (-1 star for not being wireless.) For $60, I wasn't expecting much. This was an excellent purchase. It survived six 2 to 3-day seminars and singing events, 5 airplane baggage handlings, and numerous train rides in my hardshell suitcaseeBags EXO Hardside 24" Spinner. Knowing what I know now, I would purchase this PA again for doing seminars. ... show more

  • Solid for the money, Mike not wireless
I almost gave it a 4 star, because the advertisement implied the mike was wireless and it is not. However, the sound is clear and the quality is a good deal for the price. We purchased it as an experiment. My mother's voice is becoming weaker while my father's hearing is getting worse. He can hear everyone, but my mom. Mom was becoming frustrated and needed some control, as Dads is the only one with the power to turn up his hearing aid. The amplifier is not quite designed for the way we chose to use it. Mom could not use the wireless lapel mike in the house because the feedback was terrible. (This freaks out the cat). She can use it from another room, and we believe it would work fine on a stage where the speaker is behind the amplifier. She can use the wired mike as long as the amplifier is turned down and the TV is on mute. They now have it set up in the living room with the amplifier set at ¼ volume. During the commercials, they will mute the TV and can have a detailed conversation with better communications then they have had in a long time. So it is helpful. The sound is clear with no distortions. The amplification can be turned up very loud. ... show more

  • Multiple systems won't work at the same time if they are same frequency(Need selection of freq while ordering)
System works ok. Reason for 3 stars is mainly for the complicated process to get multiple systems that can work together. Cordless mic (Lavalier) should have different frequency when you buy multiple systems for use in events in different floors of the same building. Ordered 4 and got same frequency 190.1KHz in 2 systems. If you operate them in different rooms (even in different floors) you can hear from the other system and making the systems unusable in both rooms at the same time. Main purpose of purchase is for educational contests (like spelling bee) for kids in university locations (where you may not have audio in all the class rooms). Getting the same frequency shipped to the customer with more than one qty ordered is not useful. No option to select which frequency available for selection is not provided at the time of ordering (similat to size selection for T-shirt!). Since Amazon is the seller contacted Amazon and they gave a reseller number (Google voice) and no one is answering as well. For electronic systems like PWA, please provide proper selection options including frequency of the Lav mic in this case. Contacted Sound Around technical support and they are not available and not sure they can solve shipping issues from Amazon. ... show more

  • Glad I found this system...
I wanted to find a small, affordable PA system. So, I was pleased to find this portable amp by Plye-Pro. It is difficult to tell what size it is online, so I was surprised how small it is. However, the size doesn't affect the sound. I am impressed how loud it can be, and I am looking forward to using it at our next Family Reunion. The price is right, and big bonus....the performance is great! It is great having the options of a handheld mic, a head piece wireless mic AND a lapel mic. You'll be happy you found it like I am. (p.s. just an f.y.i...the little back door where the power cord can be stored was almost impossible to open. I finally got it open, but realized it was glued shut. I guess the person assembling it got glue in the wrong place, but it works fine now. Aggravating at first, but ok now.) ... show more

  • Sadly, It Does NOT Do the Job - Kid's toy
Nice idea (small, light, inexpensive PA system), however, it does not do the job. It was not as loud as I had hoped, but I was okay with that for the money, it would have at least helped in a small/medium sized room. However, it still needs to work properly within that range, and it did not. The wireless mic drops in and out frequently even when standing still. Speakers vibrate audibly on 3/4 volume level or higher. Mics must be physically ON the mouth (touching) to pick up voice, tolerable for headset, not okay for handheld mic. It felt like I was using something I would have bought for young children to play with: definitely not appropriate for an adult presentation (let alone a professional presentation). Sadly, I returned the product after testing it. ... show more

  • I'm a sound engineer and this thing just doesn't work.
I don't know who is buying this and saying it works because this is clearly a piece of garbage not made in the USA. I was familiar with the Pyle name, and figured it would be fine for my application, it just doesn't work. Despite following the very poorly written instructions. There is no reason or explanation for how the power switch works. The plug is very clearly not an American plug. The microphones only work when your mouth is so close to them that the sound is then all distorted anyways. VHF should also be a tip off. I haven't bought a VHF microphone since the 80's. Bottom line, this is a child's toy, at best, and that is being generous. ... show more
